Controversial(?): It's almost 2025, let's start providing games that are already fixed.
There's nothing worse than getting a classic game that's not even sold anywhere anymore and then having to hunt down and apply fixes, watch a tutorial and basically spend 10 minutes to a couple of hours to try and get a game working.
Just package everything together.
One of my favorite quotes regarding programming was "If by me expending some time here fixing this problem, will it save a significant amount of time added up by users not having to do it? If the answer is yes, then I should do it", someone was kind enough to upload Silent Hill 2 Enhanced Edition already patched and it worked perfectly out of the box, perfectly preserved, and ever since then I can't help but feel how lacking preservation efforts regarding games are.
When someone wants to watch a out of print film, you don't expect them to also fix the VCR right?

What (if anything) made RD in particular special?
There has been a lot of back and fourth about RD "dying" lately due to some EU crackdowns (which are frankly incredibly dubious to my legal mind, but complaining about governments being illogical is like complaining that a brick wall is hard) but one thing I haven't really seen anyone talking about is what made RD so special in the first place. Personally I've never used any debrid service and just took the hard drive hit to download everything locally, so is there something special that RD did that other alternatives don't?
Obviously this isn't "the death of piracy" or anything, but with all of the commotion I imagine there must be something special about RD that I'm just not grasping. (if RD wasn't anything special compared to it's alternatives, then I can't see why this would be anything beyond "well that sucks, I have to switch to an alternative now". Even to people who used RD it seems like it'd be hardly more than an inconvenience)
So to a non-debrid user, what made/makes RD special compared to alternatives? (such as All-Debrid)

Download FLAC music best websites/telegram bots?
Yams doesn’t work too good for me, Lucida is slow and messes up the metadata for me, the telegram bots I’ve used only lets me download each song individually and not as a zip file. I don’t have a computer but I do have an android burner phone that I could possibly use. I’m not looking for anything too complex and I would prefer it to be a website or telegram bot, does anyone have ideas?

RANT Second-Hand Embarrassment from Some Posts Here
Lately, I’ve been feeling an overwhelming sense of second-hand embarrassment from some of the posts and comments on this subreddit. This is supposed to be a community where we share knowledge and resources, but the sheer amount of basic and frankly lazy questions is mind-blowing.
There’s a pinned megathread for a reason, and yet people ignore it and flood the subreddit with questions that could be answered with a simple search, either here or with a search engine. It’s like they expect to be spoon-fed information without putting in even the slightest effort to learn.
The endless parade of low-effort memes isn’t helping either. I get it, humor is great for building community. But when memes start to outweigh actual discussions or resources, it feels like the subreddit is losing its purpose.
Here’s my perspective: if you’re delving into piracy (or anything related to it), you should have a baseline understanding of how things work. This includes:
-Knowing how to use basic tools like torrents and file managers.
-Understanding what a VPN is and why it’s important.
-Having at least some basic troubleshooting skills.
-Ideally, knowing a bit of coding or command line usage, it’s not required, but it helps immensely.
I’m not saying everyone needs to be an expert. But a minimum level of effort and curiosity is key. This subreddit isn’t your personal tech support desk, and it shouldn’t be treated like one. If you’re not willing to learn and experiment, piracy probably isn’t for you.
Let’s raise the bar here. Use the resources available, do your own research, and come here for meaningful discussions or to share valuable insights, not to ask how to download the latest Marvel movie.
End rant.

My solution for the Spotify mod situation without any vpn
Download spotube from playstore
You can literally connect your Spotify account to it, so all your playlist will be migrated there.
Not just that. It has no ads and you can download any songs.
It might feel weird to change to another app but since you are connecting your Spotify account your song algorithm also gets transferred, so it will recommend the songs you like.

Has anyone figured out a new way to rip audiobooks from Libby since they changed the format last week?
And if not, does anyone have any recommendations for sites with more than just airport bestsellers? Especially for somewhat niche, recently published nonfiction. It seems like no site has any of the titles I want :(
