Superbowl stream 2025 - how and where to watch abroad
If you’ve been streaming the Super Bowl outside of the US every year too, you know the drill by now. Free streams are available but with the usual geo-blocking mess. As always - VPN and that’s it.
I’ve been relying on NordVPN for a while now, and last year everything worked ok. This year, though, some platforms have really tightened things up, so using obfuscated servers might be necessary. Check if your VPN has that beforehand.
But fingers crossed Nord works well again.
I gathered a mini list of where to stream Super Bowl LIX without paying (and a couple of paid options with free trials if you’re looking for something extra) if you’re abroad but still want to follow the game or the halftime show.

Tubi: Fox is streaming the Super Bowl on Tubi this year, and it’s completely free. You’ll need to register an account, but that’s straightforward — just an email. The only catch is that it’s U.S.-only.

ITVX: In the UK, ITVX is the way to go for a free Super Bowl stream.

# Australia
7Plus: In Australia, Channel 7 and the 7Plus app will stream the Super Bowl for free. You’ll just need to sign up with any Australian postal code.

# New Zealand
TVNZ+: For New Zealanders, TVNZ+ will have the Super Bowl available to stream for free.
Server: New Zealand
# France
M6+: If you’re in France, M6+ will stream the Super Bowl for free but it’s with French commentary. Don’t go with this one if you want it in original language.

# Paid Options (With Free Trials)
FuboTV: If you're in the U.S., FuboTV offers full coverage, but it’s a paid service. They do have a 7-day free trial, though, so you can stream for free if you time it right.
DAZN: Another option with a free trial, available in various countries. It’s paid long-term, but you can get a free week to catch the game on the Februrary 9th too.

Does anyone know of any significant cases where piracy was crucial in the success of a film/TV show?
I am currently working on my dissertation for my Media degree and my topic is on digital piracy. I am looking for case studies regarding the benefits of digital piracy in three areas; academic, music and visual media. So far I have a good amount of research for academic and music piracy but I am struggling to find cases of visual media piracy. I was wondering if anyone had any interesting cases that would apply here.
To explain, for example, with academic piracy I'm looking at Sci-Hub and academic knowledge in the Global South. For visual media I was thinking along the lines of how Akira brought anime to the West (this wasn't due to digital piracy from what I've read but if anyone knows otherwise I'd love to hear about it!) Any cases or examples you can think of would be a massive help and I'm happy to clarify anything in the comments :)

This sub is so fascinating because I used to be a pirate in the early 00s, but these days I mainly watch things on OTT platforms and buy my games. However, streaming is getting ridiculous... too many streaming channels and content keeps jumping from one platform to another. Sometimes, I want to watch a particular film but don't want to pay for a new subscription! So sailing it is then! ;)

BEWARE: WatchSoMuch spreading MALWARE!
No, I did not click on an advertisement or anything. I use a network level blocker (pfsense) with ad-blocking dns and uBO with firefox and some extra filters. This is the official provided magnet link that goes to a shortcut file which intern is a crypto miner. This virus exists in Season 7 Episode 4 of The Rookie. Many other users are complaining of the same thing as well.

Can ISPs shut down your internet access over using illegal streaming sites?
To contextualize, I have a family member with a habit of catastrophizing over unauthorized copyright violations like piracy to the point of saying that even streaming sites can have our local ISP shut down our service unceremoniously.
So I ask, is it actually possible to have your service provider warn the termination of, throttle, or shut off service to your internet as a result of simply streaming on pirate movie/television websites? What precedent is there, if any, for this exact scenario?
