Folks that are upset about Spotify, any reason you couldn't just use YouTube music?
Legit question - not troll bait. I'm curious if it's something on a technical level that you're looking for from Spotify specifically. Or is it a superior algorithm? I usually just listen to music on a drive or at the gym and cracked YouTube music is excellent for me.
What am I missing here?

I understand that long time Spotify users may be hesitant to migrate apps. The UI is familiar and there are hundreds-thousands of songs you may have on their.
However, if they are aggressively hunting down, I don't expect them to stop anytime soon. If you are okay with dealing with a constantly breaking app, that's fine.
However, as a long time Spotify user (over 10+ years), I found that the adjustment to YTMusic was easy, and the features are competitive to Spotify. And yes, you can download locally straight from the app.
For Android: Revanced (the .app website is the official or find it on GitHub). Traditionally, Revanced was used to provide ad-free YouTube with SponsorBlock, but it also provides premium YT Music. You can also patch reddit, and other apps.
It does NOT work with xapks, so you will need to split the app. However, i recommend downloading an APK from APKMirror. You don't have to split anything. Put it in Revanced, press patch, and you have premium YT and YTMusic.
Migrate your songs and playlist with whatever flavor of program you prefer.
For iOS and Spotify (Free): use sideloadly (/r/sideloaded) and find EeveeSpotify. It is updated almost daily and is iOSs "official" Spotify crack. /r/sideloadly is free, but you can only do 3 apps. When I used it, it was EeveeSpotify, YTLitePlus, and Apollo for Reddit (yes, still works).
For iOS and any cracked app you want (paid): If you want to sideload more than three apps and straight from your device, I recommend Kravasign as it's cheap enough. Most of iOS stuff is in Telegram channels, but there are many repos that reupload (SwaggyP3600 on GitHub is one of the main ones used)
For iOS and YTMusic. If you do wish to migrate to YTMusic, the iOS app is YTMusicUnlimited. You can find it in most repos on GitHub like SwaggyP3600.
Local download users: Outertune looks like a solid replacement

Should DODI be removed from the Megathread?
Longtime lurker here, been seeing quite a few posts about people being redirected to malware because of how absolutely infested DODI’s site is, apparently even the “safe” links can redirect you. I always torrent my repacks with Jackett so i never really worry about going to the original website, but honestly it seems like DODI (or rather their website) has crossed a line to a point where having it on the Megathread is just unsafe, especially for new members of the community. What do you all think?

How do you start learning reverse engineering?
I recently played Hollow knight Android port and was impressed how optimised it was absolute respect but as there are not a lot of good games for Android ,I wanted to learn porting.
The other thing is I got a video on homepage of how was adobe hacked something like that,about how everytime there is a crack devloped for an app and I came to know that these both things related to reverse engineering so I want help on how to start in this field.

To all the music hoarders, How do you find new music?
I have been using Spotify for years now. And although I have most of the songs I like downloaded onto my devices, I only use them whenever I have no internet. Since spotify's mod apk has been mostly patched I end up having to use my local library on my phone. But it just feels so inconvenient when you can't be constantly getting recommendations for new songs that you may like, and whenever I do find such a song, I have to go and manually download it. Soulseek doesn't work (Edit: On mobile, I tried using the unofficial client from playstore, F-Droid has nothing, dk where else to look.), and I've found a LOT of music streaming apps but none of them just work the way I want them to, some are slow, have terrible ui.
So how do you guys only listen to the things you have locally?

RANT ALERT! I hate the piece of shit store that is Epic.
This is a rant but considering how much shit I have to do now because this garbage doesn't work, makes me wanna grab the fucking CEO of that company and hurl him through a fucking window. Not that my 45 skinny kilograms would be able to do it but female rage is real.
This godforsaken filthy excuse for a store, which is apparently created by absolute morons to whom proper stable code is just a suggestion, couldn't properly update so it couldn't start and the only solution ended up being reinstalling it and you know where this is going.
All the games went away with it, mostly modded to oblivion and beyond. Fuck Epic!
I am back to piracy. In this world of constant updates and changes, nothing stays stable and everything is on the whim of some incompetent motherfuckers. Well, no more. Sailing the seas is my calling. Fuck every fucking piece of shit DRM store in existence, including Steam.

Help! Got Caught Torrenting on University Wi-Fi
I forgot to turn on my VPN while downloading a TV episode on PirateBay while on my university’s Wi-Fi. Today, the IT department emailed me saying my account was flagged for excessive resource usage and a copyright violation, it was reported by a studio company. They listed my IP/MAC and warned it could impact the university or lead to legal action.
I'm outside the US so I've always pirated without any issues, so I never thought I'd be hit with this or ISPs would care.
I haven’t responded yet. I don't know how to approach this. Should I admit it and apologize, or just ask for details?
Any help would be appreciated
