A lightning wallet will soon become a travellers best friend.
https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/1dhsm60/a_lightning_wallet_will_soon_become_a_travellers/
<!-- SC_OFF -->One of the biggest and most confusing hassles when travelling to different countries is figuring out their transport systems. Every country has different ticketing systems, different pre paid card systems, different ways of getting tickets from machines to staffed booths, different methods of payment, different languages. Its a giant hassle to figure it out every time you land in a new city. What if every form of transport on earth was paid using lightning. Every turnstyle, every bus, every taxi, every tuk tuk, every train on earth, imagine they all allowed you tap and pay via lightning using the NFC on your phone. You wouldnt have to worry about transport at all anywhere on earth. No matter where you are in the world you would know all you have to do to pay for any form of transport in that city is tap your phone and accept a tiny lightning transaction. All you would need to pay for any form of transport anywhere on earth is a single lightning wallet on your phone. A lightning wallet would become a travellers best friend and no one would want to travel without a lightning walet. <!-- SC_ON --> submitted by /u/slvbtc (https://www.reddit.com/user/slvbtc)

Unit bias discussion.
https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/1dhpc14/unit_bias_discussion/
<!-- SC_OFF -->I interact with so many people who think bitcoin is too “expensive”. There’s also a majority of people that think in stock market terms and that the price per bitcoin is the price per share. This is where I try and insert a brief explainer of the reality of bitcoin. BUT!! Why can’t there be a unit bias discussion among many of the key influencers as a marketing campaign. That would be selling SATS. Imagine the feeling someone gets when they have 1,500,000 SATS for their $1000 vs .015 BTC. I have had success with some family and friends to buy some BTC but they always feel let down when they claim their 1/10 of a BTC. I always praise any size buy and always suggest that “you should buy enough to care and you’ll begin your learning journey”. Would love to hear the community thoughts on unit bias in bitcoin. And how other coins low unit measurements skew people from even thinking about bitcoin. <!-- SC_ON --> submitted by /u/Maximum_Mind_9960 (https://www.reddit.com/user/Maximum_Mind_9960)

<!-- SC_OFF -->Could we see a form of cash payment system in the future for BTC where by you transfer a set amount of BTC from cold hardware directly to a cred-stick style device that you then give to someone else to later transfer to their cold storage hardware. DCA 60$ or 0.001 BTC a week?
https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/1dhzawd/dca_60_or_0001_btc_a_week/
<!-- SC_OFF -->So i've been buying $60 bucks worth of BTC a week for the last few months, today i looked at what ive accumulated in BTC and decided to round it off with my latest transaction. To round it off i basically bought 0.00X BTC , instead of my usual $60. One interesting thing i noticed was if i keep doing let's say 0.001BTC, from now on instead of $60 dollars, i would see the up and down of what 0.001BTC is worth and stacking SATS will continue to be whole numbers. My thoughts on politicians and bitcoin
https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/1dhr2dn/my_thoughts_on_politicians_and_bitcoin/
<!-- SC_OFF -->I see it as concerning when a politician backs bitcoin, particularly someone as manipulative as Trump. bitcoin has proven it does not need the help of a politician but Trumps words to move all mining to the USA could be very detrimental. Regardless of people in power’s recent change in stance on bitcoin (after all, the writing is on the wall and it’s been proven too difficult to stop) I don’t trust it. Developed countries are now obliged to follow new standards on how energy is used and USA-only mining will make it too costly, particularly if the moves to renewable energy aren’t efficient enough. What’s more it’ll become illegal to mine in countries where energy costs and standards are lower, and the lack of activity on the retail side could need badly. So is this the move to stop it? A Monday doomsday prediction I know but let me have your thoughts and arguments on this. <!-- SC_ON --> submitted by /u/mistercheez2000 (https://www.reddit.com/user/mistercheez2000)
