Bitcoin is the ulitmate permissionless store of value, meaning you dont need to ask anyone before you send or receive it. Energy. Bitcoin is backed by energy. Freedom. Bitcoin is able to be used by anyone, anywhere regardless of economic status. Value. He is retiring and plans on moving out of the country in retirement. He feels uneasy having a piece of paper in his pocket that is so valuable going on a plane to a new place that could get stolen. And he is not certain of his living situation when he gets there and feels uncomfortable keeping it in an apartment in another country. He doesn't know what the best way to hold his bitcoin when he doesn't feel comfortable with self-custody.
