I think the MAX documentary did a pretty good job explaining the origin and backstory of how bitcoin came about and even explaining their take on who they thought Satoshi is but many are saying they got who they claim Satoshi is wrong. The doc claims Satoshi Nakamoto is Peter Todd, but Peter has denied he is Satoshi and it seems over all most bitcoiners aren't buying its him either or don't really care. <!-- SC_OFF -->I still have the mtgox account creation e-mail dated 12 feb 2013, I wanted to buy bitcoin and transfer them to my bitcoin core wallet that was taking 60-80gb of hard drive space. But the website looked like a piracy website to me so I didn't trust it I thought my money would be gone. My only other option was to buy some second life videogame currency and convert them to bitcoin? But again the website looked like a 90's notepad written HTML page and it was 2013, so I thought it was a scam too. Looking back not transferring funds to mtgox was a wise choice, but I regret abandoning afterwards and not looking harder for ways to buy bitcoin. I really wanted bitcoin just to have an amount in my core wallet lol. I think I would have sold 50% in 2017 when it was at 10'000$ as I had already told myself back then if I was ever going to get bitcoins: "I aint selling or using any of this unless it reaches 10'000$ and I will ALWAYS keep a stash." My life would be significantly different now though if I had kept my treasure hunt going. I'm convinced about the utility and value of Bitcoin and the importance of HODLing but like any asset you need the ability to get in AND OUT of any asset for it to be adopted and be truly useful. For instance, I would never buy a stock or asset if I knew I was locked in for life or forbidden from selling no matter how lucrative it may be. My question is this, Can't the U.S. Government just block any exchange or customer trying to convert BTC to USD for example? What's to stop them from shutting down a RIVER or Strike or imposing a ridiculously low sell limit like 200 bucks a day or a week or something like that? I'm already hearing stories of people trying to cash out more than 10k of BTC and getting Flagged in the process (although to be fair this occurs with FIAT transactions as well). How would selling large amounts of BTC to fiat work? (tens of thousands or even hundreds of thousands of BTC in USD for example) I'm concerned about this. If anyone can assuage my fears that would be helpful and appreciated. Pardon my naïveté in advance. P.S.
