Noise Pollution - a necessity to inconsiderate idiots
I’m sorry if I offend anyone here..
Third day in a row, and I’m just done with my entire house vibrating to these levels of noise pollution.
It’s 2:30am and for the past 5-6 hours I’m sitting and hearing these loud bangers/sounds/noise/dance/celebrations/absolute madness.., whatever you wanna call it. I reported this incident an hour ago to local authorities a couple of times.
1. I just don’t understand this kind of obsession in the name of religious expression. I can’t even begin to tell the songs that we’re playing during this entire fiasco. It’s horrible!
2. Who are giving these people permissions? Isn’t there a law in place already for such idiots?

Recommendation for Luxury/Good single-sharing PGs for a month of stay
Hi guys!
I'm a newcomer to Hyderabad and I'm on the lookout for a luxurious PG/room accommodation.
My budget can stretch around 20k per month, and I'm specifically looking for a single-sharing PG with windows that let in plenty of natural light.
Since I will be staying around a month or so, less deposit will be suitable for me.

Things to do in Hyderabad
A friend of mine got placed in an MNC at Hyderabad and I will be with them for a month in the city. I am pretty new to the place and have never properly been around.
Please drop suggestions regarding places to visit, food to discover and importantly activities to do. I was previously in Bangalore and there used to be all sort of communities and activities there and would keep one happily occupied with diverse set of engagements. Are there such options in Hyderabad?

Looking to rent a 2BHK near HiTech City
Hi,
We (my wife and I) are moving to Hyderabad in a couple of months' time and are looking to rent a 2BHK somewhere near HiTech City, ideally in a multi-storeyed gated community.
I did some searching on MagicBricks, 99 acres, etc. and the figures mentioned are disparate. While MB has listings of 2BHK in good gated communities (My Home Navadweepa, NCC Urban Gardenia, for e.g.) starting at Rs 20K/month, the ones on 99acres start at 30K (other properties) and go into the 40s. Am not too familiar with the Hyderabad real-estate scene and am a little lost here.
What (rent) should I be looking at, realistically? Are the listings on MB intentionally quoted down to get me to become a prime member or something?
And do you guys have any suggestions? (budget is 25k; stretched budget is 30k)

Paid 10x to a Nimrah Cafe server accidentally. Any chances of recovery?
As in title. Accidentally paid 501/- to a server at Nimrah Cafe, Charminar, instead of 50/-. Coming home and checking the transactions, I realised my mistake and feeling sleepless.
I don't have his number, nor able to message him on Phonepe, since I paid him via QR code. How do I contact him. Tried calling the Nimrah Cafe number listed on Google, says switched off. What do I do? Going back tomorrow morning can help? Will he remember me and return my money? Any old city redditors could help? Please help!!! Can try sharing a part of the recovery amount.

Nimrah Cafe at Charminar won't accept online payments, so they direct UPI users to one of their servers to avail their products. Customers should then pay the servers (they hang around with QR codes) to exchange with cash and pay at Nimrah counter.

Friend getting married

My friend is getting married in few months, bridegroom lives in usa chicago, they asked my friend travel on a dependent visa, but my friend wants to go a f1 student visa and complete masters and get a job. My friend is a lead engineer in jp morgan and already earns around 40L. She is highly ambitious and always wants to improve her skills work.
But the bridgeroom family says that it will be a problem to travel to usa on f1 visa after the marriage since the visa won't be approved.
Is this true? what should my friend do?
I'm not sure about which sub exactly to ask this question and looked to my home city for guidance.

Bike and petrol theft in Attapur and other areas
Since a few days, I have been facing problems with my bike. Upon consulting with a few mechanics, I found out that someone is stealing petrol from my bike which they say is evident from the mileage and number of kms driven (Idk how). Hence, I decided to check the CCTV footage of the last couple of nights.
There was a masked guy at around 12:00AM wandering near my bike. That guy stole around 5-6L of petrol and left after failing to open the lock handle. Today I got to know that two bikes down my lane were stolen by the same guy.
The police are on the lookout for him currently. I really hope he gets caught at the earliest to prevent other people from going through the same. Just wanted to post this to make you guys alert about this. Stay safe and make sure to lock your gates before 10:00PM or at the earliest.

Book scanning and binding?
Hi friends, I'm going to be in Hyderabad in December and I have an old, out-of-print Telugu book that I'd like to get scanned and get maybe ten copies made and bound. Does anyone know a reputable shop where I could get this done? Ideally it would be one that can scan and digitize the Telugu script since I doubt I can do that here in America. Thanks for any tips!
