Marriage Pressure - F22 & M30
A 22-year-old friend of mine recently graduated and revealed she's engaged to a 30-year-old guy.
Despite not wanting to get married, her family, especially her mom and uncle, is forcing her. Her dad wants to help, but family and society pressure hold him back.
She tried rebellious actions, spoke to the guy's family, and even wrote a message explaining her feelings. Unfortunately, things got worse when the guy's mom got involved, leading to physical abuse from her own family.
On top of that, her family is hiding that she's Mangalik, changing her birth date to match the groom's Horoscope/Kundali. It's tough as the community is still orthodox, and surprisingly, her parents aren't supporting her.

Parents of hyderabad, how do you entertain your toddler child.
I have a toddler of 1 1/2 year old and we are trying our best to entertain him, teach him and play with him. But, kids are kids right. I see my son to be very very excited when he see some kid rather than a adult . He cheers, he gets excited, he will go to them and will play with them.
But, in our area, 1 out of 6 families only have kids. And they also very very rarely send thier kids outside. They will always keep thier kids inside thier house.
I had this discussion with my parents and some old cousins, they were telling that they lived in a heavily populated areas and they just left their kids to play with kids nearby. Thier point was during thier times its not this strict, kids used to be there in 1 out of 2 houses. And when kids are there, there will be lot of hungama. They will shout, run and always be in open spaces. And if a apartment has 10 houses, everyone will know when kids are playing. So parents will leave thier kids at that time to go out and play.

All this rant/rave aside. Parents of hyderabad. Whats your situation. How have you raised/raising your toddler.? Any tips,suggestions, discussions are always welcome.

Hyderabad, what's new?
Hi good folks of Hyderabad! Visiting the city after 4 decades! I did the best years of my life, +2 and graduation, there. Used to have a great time - the people, the food, the general vibe. Now I am visiting the city again after a long time, end of December for a few days.
I am guessing there's been quite a few changes since those days🙂. I believe the 'centre' of the city has moved from the Abids and Paradise areas to Hitech City?
What else is new, must visit areas? Food outlets to die for?

Post Passport Bribe
Don't know why my earlier post wasn't approved/posted here.
Old member, new username, so hello all!
Today I got my new passport which was approved soon thanks to the obvious bribe I paid to my police inspector on Saturday. Now there are new ways of asking for bribe i.e. sit in the house for more than 10 minutes, act like you're thinking hard, looking here and there and then leaving. Good strategy, must say.
That's fine with me, i needed to get my passport soon due to the closeby expiry date.
Now today, the postman rings the bell, asks me for adhaar verification (fine), asks me a few questions (also fine). After he gives it to me, he asks for an ENAAM. What do you mean uncle? You want prize money for delivering me my passport? I don't think I've heard of this. I was sick to hell, alone at home and dead but I had to give in. I was also worried about what he may do since he asked me to open the net door as well other than the main door. He said I'm your local postman, I come on my cycle, your watchman knows me - whatever man! But this is a very weird practice.
Is this normal paying more money to the postman?!?!!

Hyderabad to Chirala road trip which route to take?
Hi everyone,
I am planning a road trip from Hyderabad to Chirala.
There are mainly two routes -
1. Via NH 167A - this would be 350km and pass by Miryalaguda and Narasaraopeta
2. Via NH 65 - this would be 400 km and pass by Vijaywada and Guntur
I mainly want to choose road which's better for the road trip i.e it's maintained well and has decent scenic views.
Anyone been to Chirala recently and can recommend on which one to choose?

Is Hyderabad a good city to move and settle in with your wife?
Could someone please explain the pros and cons of hyderabad? Currently I live in Kochi, and was thinking of moving after marriage in a year or so.
Is HYD safe for women? How is the life culture? What are the crime rates etc? How dangerous is it?

Could this be the reason for the noise from the upstairs house?
I stay in the middle portion of a 3 storied building near Alwal. During nights and sometimes early in the mornings, I hear a stream of slow pounding sounds from the upstairs house. Once I went to tell them to keep the noises low, but upon noticing that they were inebriated, I returned without saying anything. Later these frequent noises became unbearable and complained to the owners who stayed in the house below that of mine. The owners told those people to keep the noises down a few times but I still hear those noises even to this day and this morning. One day when a friend of mine came, I asked him what could be the source of those noises, and he said it could be that they were smoking pot. I just wanted to know if this is true.
TLDR: What could be the source of these frequent pounding sounds from the upstairs house?
