Do people really advocate these kinds of recruitment drives? So hiring was always based on caste, is it? And then blame reservations for creating divide and loss of talent?

30 M and unmarried and wish to remain like this, anyone on the same boat?

It gets depressing when all your friends and relatives who are younger than you get married(I'm happy for them) and start family but I'm in a conflicting space here, I'm not sure I can handle marriage and welcome a person into my life but sometimes it feels good to have someone by your side with whom you can share your feelings and at the same time looking at how my mother had to deal with so many things in her life just to hold the family together, it feels ditching marriage is a better option. Also, I don't have a stable career yet which adds to my depression.

Did people of Telangana get real freedom after division?

Hi people of Hyderabad,

This post might trigger people but I am writing this post based on my experience after returning to my home state after 5 years living abroad and this is my observation.

This post ain’t about language wars nor creating divide.

What happened to the Telangana common man?

Case 1 :

Literally other day I was at CARE HOSPITAL, and all the receptionist were non local, like I speak multi languages but I had to be an translator to a random old women cause the receptionist didn’t speak Telugu and the old lady didn’t speak Hindi.

I thought that’s just reception but trust me even house keeping, nurses except doctors not many spoke Telugu and don’t even understand it.

Case 2 :

I was at an well reputed tiffin center (Taaza tiffins), when I first visited when they opened all the staff were Telugu and the quality of food and service was top notch, after 5 years I go to Same place and boom 90% of the staff are non Telugu, and when I say something in Telugu they don’t understand so had to switch to hindi.

Case 3 :

Went to an temple in basheerbagh which is filled with majority of Marwari people, I didn’t mind but what stuck to me was the poojari or priest was actually forming cult and preaching hate against certain religion and my friend who is localie told me how they all removed a Muslim landlord from that area via harassing them and made them sell their house. And guess what the priest did? Tied a cow in that house and made it shit and piss for a month in name of cleansing.

In all these instances I was looking where the common Telangana man is? Even in office I felt Telangana people are minority.

What happened in these 5 years? And even in my village people are travelling to assam and other states cause no one is hiring them.

So this just doesn’t only apply for Hyderabad but whole state.

This made me feel sad that our own people are being ill treated and not presented with opportunities on equal grounds.

Paid for a sleeper bus, got drenched in piss by a drunk idiot. What the hell do I do now?

I'm an introvert and had problems like socialising with people. Being a man with slightly high pitched voice. So, I’m seriously pissed right now and don’t even know what to do. I booked a sleeper bus for a long journey through Paytm, ( VRCR Bus) as I was traveling from pileru to Hyderabad thinking it would be a comfortable ride. Instead, I ended up in a nightmare.

There was a drunk passenger in the bed above me, and this guy literally pissed in his bed. I’m talking about full-on urine-soaked hell dripping all over me. When I tried to talk to him about it, he yelled at me like I did something wrong. Like, are you kidding me?

To make it worse, the bus company (who I can’t even find a proper official page for) didn’t care about the situation at all. I'm left sitting in this disgusting mess, feeling helpless and furious.

I’m beyond pissed. I’ve paid for a service and got treated like this. What’s worse is that drunk people are being allowed onboard in the first place. How the hell is this acceptable?

I need some advice here—what the hell do I do now? I’ve already contacted Paytm, but I don’t know if I should escalate this to authorities or something. Should I just let it go, or is there a way to make sure this doesn’t happen to anyone else?

Continuing my last post here (experience in Hyderabad)

Need help

Hi Hyderabad

I recently relocated to Hyderabad and my experience here is really good, made a lot of friends and explored Hyderabad.

Now a new flatmate joined us and he asked my credit card for discount, I let him use my credit card for 28k txn as he said he will give my money back once he gets the salary within 7 days.

I waited for him to pay but he didn't and start asking more and more

I trusted Yashwant enough to lend him money on the condition that he would repay me within a week. Unfortunately, he has repeatedly made false promises and excuses, refusing to return the funds.

I asked him politely that please return my money I've to go to my hometown for diwali and I've to make some payments. He keeps delaying this everyday and still he haven't given me any single penny.

I am unsure of the best course of action to recover the stolen funds. I would be grateful for any advice or guidance you can provide.

Please help me to recover my money. I don't speak Telugu

I can share his number in DM. If someone wants to help me.

Update :-

I came back on 12th night and I was looking for medicine in my cupboard but I was shocked that my DSLR was missing from my bag. There was some cash also he took some and left 1500rs I'm not sure how much cash I kept there.

Upon calling him he rejected my claims and said he don't know about DSLR

Later when I said I'm going to police station he accepted that he stole the camera and sold it.

PS yashwant vacated the flat around 1 Nov
I went to my hometown on 21 Oct and returned on 12 Nov .

The Betrayals of Telangana: History That Demands to Be Known

TLDR: Know our history and the sacrifices made by our ancestors that helped shape our state. Don’t be ignorant.

Recently, I have been preparing for government jobs and have completed the syllabus of the Telangana movement. A lot of questions about our history have been on my mind.

In the age of the internet, we can access any information with just one click. However, if we go back to the 1950s, when the combined Andhra Pradesh was formed, the people of Telangana initially rejected the merger. What shouldn’t have happened, unfortunately, did. The leaders of Andhra Pradesh exploited and betrayed the local Telangana people by taking away their lands, jobs, and other resources.

In 1969, when the Telangana movement reached its peak, nearly 300 people were killed. Later, when Sr. NTR became the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana people protested that many individuals from Andhra had illegally secured government jobs by falsifying their addresses and other details. NTR formed a committee, which reported that around 58,000 people from Andhra had used illegal methods to secure government jobs in Telangana. Although the Chief Minister ordered an investigation to identify and remove these individuals, nothing significant was done, and no one was held accountable.

Another crucial issue was water. The rulers of Telangana historically understood the importance of ponds for agriculture and livelihood. However, after the formation of Andhra Pradesh, ponds were neglected. Most dams constructed under Andhra leadership directly or indirectly benefited the Andhra region but not Telangana.

The increased electricity bills added further distress to farmers. When they protested, the government responded with violence, even killing several farmers. They took away our jobs, our resources, and our water. They mocked our culture and dialect.

This is just a glimpse of the larger injustice. Read history books to uncover the betrayals and oppression faced by Telangana's people at the hands of political leaders.

To all the people of Telangana, read your history. It is rich and vast. Learn about the sacrifices made by our ancestors and take pride in your local culture.

To all the people of Andhra, I urge you to read our history too. The mistakes were not yours but those of your leaders. However, do not be ignorant or blindly believe in what you are told.

There’s a reason the forefront of the protest revolves around Nillu, Nidhulu, Niyamakalu (Water, Funds, and Employment).

Jai Telangana!

Government needs to bring online classes for Telugu

There is a lot of interest, but lack of resources. Interacting with people and learning from that is not an easy thing to do. Maybe a government institute could organise online classes with certifications to help the migrants who come to Hyderabad to actually become Hyderabadi.

This will also help Hyderabad avoid turning into Bangalore in like 20-30 years.

Honest opinion on Diljit’s show

I attended the hyderabad’s show of Diljit Dosanjh

Honestly i don’t think it was that great. He started around 8 ish and ended by 10:30. Also at the end 2-3 songs were just playing on speakers

The main thing was he was stopping in between songs and was giving gyan pravachan which was clearly killing the vibe.

Those giving jackets gloves show off dudeee we came here to enjoy not to listen to those dialogues and stuff for your reels honestly

As soon as we were vibing to the song. He stops singing and calls someone on stage and do that drama thing by his PR team for his reels

He hardly sang 8-10 songs i guess

I have attended many concerts where they just keep playing tracks so that crowd can vibe but this was disappointing for me

Dont come at me diljit fans

Thanks xD

Did anyone of you ever used India post letters for communication irl

Folks, can you believe Indian Postal Service was the only bridge of communication between me and my parents during my school (boarding) days.

We all used to buy 25 paise post cards or 1.5 Rs inland letters and used them to communicate with parents and friends back home. Money orders were very common too (we all hoped postman shouts our name when he comes to the class room to get the sign and give cash)

Does this make anyone nostalgic? Any interesting memories?

Please don’t judge me to be from Stone Age, I am one among you.. turning 33 later this month :)

Opinion about the Current CM and His administration, Keeping politics aside.

I am from Karnataka, working in Hyderabad from the past 3 years. When I came to this city, Had came across KCR, KTR and thier team doing good things to Hyderabad city. Ktr was popular thanks to his great ambition to HYD. Then came the Revanth Reddy Administration. Forget the actual development, All I see in the news is how he's HYDRAA for power.
To The actual Hyderabad people, What's your honest Opinion about the current administration? Are they doing well or using thier power for own purposes?

Is it just me or the service staff in a lot of restaurants/cafes these days just plain rude?

I have seen servers being obnoxious for no reason especially at high end cafes. They roll their eyes and make faces even at the mere slight of customers. I don't expect them to be super friendly and warm but atleast be polite? That's the least you can do being in the service industry? I understand they are not exactly paid well and have to endure poor working conditions but most of these sophisticated places are not doing themselves any favors hiring arrogant and judgmental staff.

Frustrated. I can't have a peaceful night's sleep in this City.

Our city has completely gone downhill under the new government! Forget about development; even our daily lives are getting ruined. Here I am, stuck without power for over 6 hours on a weekend, the only day I have to rest from my exhausting schedule.

Last week, my mother, who had just undergone knee surgery, was forced to wait in the parking lot for five hours because of yet another power cut. Can you imagine the pain and discomfort she had to endure?

And let’s talk about the roads. The ones in front of my house are so damaged I had to replace my car’s suspension and fix a broken catalytic converter! Repairs that could have been avoided if the infrastructure was even remotely maintained.

To make matters worse, last month my brother was attacked by a couple of goons in broad daylight just because he refused to let them break a traffic light. All of this happened right in front of the police, who, unsurprisingly, did nothing.

Is this what we work so hard and pay taxes for? Are we just supposed to watch as lawlessness and negligence become the norm? I never thought I’d say this, but I actually miss the BRS government’s governance. At least we didn’t have to deal with this kind of mess.

I get shivers that it's hardly a year that passed by and 3 more years of suffering.
