Need job for my dad.
Hi folks.
I need general guidance and advice for my father who is in his 50s and still has capacity to work for atleast 5 to 10 years.
He earlier had a private business in service line managing folks for AC repair and installation within an area. He quit that because it was too stressful for him. He tried other things later on but was not successful.
Now, he is just at home after TV or phone whole day. He keeps saying that he wants to do some work and sitting idle whole day while me and my sister are working is driving him crazy.
Setting up a business is little hard but i think that is the way to go. But i am out of ideas for this.
Any stable job is second best option but don't have much contacts who can take someone for any kind of work for his age.

How to deal with scammy and rude rideshare drivers?
Hello all,
I recently semi-moved back to Hyderabad to take care of my sick father. Hyderabad has changed a lot since I last visited almost a decade ago. This sub has been helpful to get advice and suggestions on a few things.
Yesterday was a first rude awakening realization that I should not trust everyone blindly. My father was discharged from the hospital near Shilparamam and we had to travel to Vanasthalipuram. I cannot drive in this traffic (yet!), so have been taking Uber everywhere which has been great. yesterday evening for some reason, it was very difficult to find a ride.
Since I was unable to get anything on Uber or Ola, I downloaded Rapido and requested for a car. One "Captain", as they call their drivers, accepted the ride. I noticed that the license plate was different from what was shown in the app. The driver insisted that his other car was in the repair shop, and he was driving his second car. We got in and found that the car was extremely dirty. We didn't want to wait for another ride as my dad was just discharged and he was weak. We also have to nose tube feed him every 2 hours, so it was already getting late.
The ride was showing 27 km with 65 minutes of ride time and Rs 813 fare. The driver insisted that he knew a route with less traffic that will reduce the ride time to less than an hour. He asked for Rs 100 more, and he said that he will drop us on the side of the road if we didnt agree. I agreed since my priority was to get home. He takes some looooong route that ended up taking 97 minutes and the cost came to Rs 1200. I was super pissed not because it costed more because I realized he scammed us into taking longer route. He saw my dad's condition as it was visible. He knew we were being picked up from the hospital. Yet, he chose to scam us. I was furious and refused to pay him the full amount. He started threatening us:
"merko maloom kya karna. merko maloom tum kahan rehte. mein jo karna vo kartoon." etc etc. I told him that I will call the police if he keeps threatening us. I gave him the originally estimated amount and asked him to get out. I was shocked as to how easy it is to be scammed. He even came out of his vehicle and started shouting as if to start a fight. Rapido has been useless in resolving the issue other than saying "we apologize for inconvenience".
Should I report this to the local police station? I am afraid he might come back when I am not home. My parents are old and sick and can't deal with these maniacs.

Context: My age is 26 and my bf's age is 24. We have been dating for a year Now and Yesterday I saw this dress which was Above knee length and When I asked him how it was by sending a picture, he said it looks hot on you and i said thanks I'll buy it and he asked "are you gonna wear that outside?" I said yes and all hell broke loose he said no, I will not allow you to wear it outside, you are mine and thus only i should see you in revealing clothes. And I argued with him saying I have freedom over what i should wear
He didn't listen to me at all. so it became a serious issue and now we might breakup over it.. Any advice u can give me that's helpful?

Guys I'm 24M working in a engineering company as Q.C 12k pay as I'm fresher(from Andhra Pradesh, currently living in a pg 4k where they don't serve food), joined in a company 1 month back ,I just got to know that I will be getting salary 1 month afterwards as from Jan , currently I'm out of funds as I'm maintaining 120 rs/day (30-tiffin,60-lunch,30-dinner) currently I'm having 500 only in my account ,all I can ask was as wedding season was coming I want u guys to invite me if any weddings happening from ur side
Also I will try to save money to purchase a bycycle for joining on Zomato in coming 3-4 months for covering some expenses,meantime I will try to learn some computer language course (suggest me on this as I don't have much knowledge)

Best Chinese Restaurants to Visit in Hyderabad
Hola people.
This is my first post here so please go easy on me if this post is impertinent. I, of course, would choose Biryani any day over Chinese. However, I've also got to try the Chinese food this beautiful city has to offer.
I was planning to take my family to a really good Chinese place in Hyderabad. Would really appreciate any good (tried and tested) recommendations coming my way.
From what I know and have heard, I was planning on choosing between Mainland China or Bowl O' China. So any views on which one of them is better would also be really helpful.
PS : I live near Rampally X Roads - so the distance is also gonna be an issue.

Forget about that, half of the place does not have any facilities for pedestrians, cyclists
God near Ikea if you even want to cross the raoad its always final destination music playing on the background
It seems that the real estate lobbies tried hard to evade its access to common citizens so that their cars could enter with a breeze and the puny workers with their 20k salary monthly will anyway come in bikes
Jokes on them because some of them are now earning more than 2 lacs a month and have now bought so many cars and these real estate chutias too have to be stuck honking cars like maniacs
Solution ?
To evade taxes and to sihone money build thousands of flyovers for fucking no reason and just clog the region so that even metros dont come.
I dont know who the fuck is proud about these swanky looking offices, when their is no
1. public transport infra
2. proper drainage system
3. Water supply issues
4. Traffic management
It looks like DLF just copied the pages from the gurgaon chapter and made this area also shit under them
It is another bangalore in the making, hyderabad has just started and its still puny compared to the IT crowd population of bangalore in terms of population
Only God knows who they hire for urban planing
Gov & bodies are Only interested in pocketing crores and showing their thondekaya when you want some work
At least the law & order is ok and am content bout it , but why after so many years bus lines are not there ?

no friends
Hello everyone, i am a first year student in of the better engineering colleges of India. I feel so hopeless all the time cuz I dont have any friends in college. To be fair it's not like i sit alone or something all the time, but i don't have any group or circle who feel like they care about me. I do have a few ppl whom I talk, but i am not part of their group.
I don't feel like anyone else think of me as their friend. I feel like i somehow repel people, and i don't know why. I know i am not very good at social scenarios but i am not horrible either. I just want a few good friends to hang out with, party, go for movies etc.
I feel so sad and overwhelmed by this emotion. I can't think of anything other than this. i did try making new friends for the past 6 months to no avail.
I am almost desperate for human contact at this point.
If anyone has any help, suggestions, tips please help.
