i knew they will change location of preferences to user_de instead of /data/data 🤓🤓🤓 will be fixed in new rboard

and yeah gboard broke something in preferences so you ONLY can apply themes now from gboard settings

Latest Gboard beta fixes issues with third-party themes (like Rboard 😏) when pill shape key is enabled (before the right key was square/broken) of course not all themes got fixed but many of them is now usable

How to turn off pill shaped keys and bring back working layout for rboard themes?
open with any root Explorer (i recommend you mixplorer from xda)
go to: data/data/com.google.android.inputmethod.latin/shared_prefs/flag_value.xml
search for: "pill_shaped_key"
and change from "true" to "false"
Then force close Gboard app

Anyone else noticed that google added more spacing between keyboard and navbar?
If you do you can always install #nospacing that should remove that extra spacing (for some reason it doesn't work on it) and if you want to make navbar spacing shorter then flash #smallnavbar (only for aosp based roms)

Before asking please check if anyone asked same question before. Remember to read all pinned messages in group because that might also answer your question. I'm VERY tired of answering over 500 times same question.

Q:Why i have error applying themes?
A:Just apply from Gboard settings for now or restart app

Q:Why app crashed on start expect bugs like this, just restart app and should be fine and if not try to share logs

Q:How to make my own Gboard theme?
A:The same way as i started by editing existing themes and feel free to ask in group (you don't have to tag me I'll answer when i will have more time)

Gboard beta finally added support for skin tones for handshake emoji.
It doesn't have support for mixed variants from 2022 but you can check out my Emoji channel where you can download and install latest magisk module with modified android 12 emojis which contain latest unicode 14 emojis which you can copy/paste.

How to get monet theming in gboard on Android S developer preview 3 with monet module?
open with any root Explorer (i recommend you mixplorer from xda)
go to: data/data/com.google.android.inputmethod.latin/shared_prefs/flag_value.xml
search for: "silk_theme" and "silk_on_all_pixel"
and change from "false" to "true"
Then in gboard settings go to themes and you can apply "Device" theme.

For unfinished rounded "pill" keys (any Android version) shape follow same instructions but for "pill_shaped_key"
enjoy new Gboard themes and design!
