Try unmapping your partitions in twrp then formal all partitions then clean install elixir... idk why it's happning to you. But it's due to, vendor partition is already in use, soo device cant update vendor & getting this error.

I did that and tried clean install with same error 1 and "Failed to mount '/system_root''. I don't know what causes the problem of 'cannot unmap vendor' but the FbeV2 recovery for A14 worked fine for the clean install of 4.0. I want badly to update to 4.1 and don't really what else can be done to overcome this issue

I used the recommended recovery_FbeV2. Official twrp-3.6.2-9.0-ginkgo and twrp-3.7.1_12.0-ginkgo won't mount data and system. Maybe I'll try OrangeFox though I doubt it working with dynamic partitions.
