The report remains unconfirmed, but if true, it would likely have occurred south of Sverdlikovo. The advance here would put Ukraine's Sumy-Sudzha supply line under Russian fire control, and also risk Ukraine's entire Kursk incursion of being encircled.

M23 have advanced along the N2 highway, capturing Wimbi. Violent clashes have been ongoing south of Kitsambiro for over 12 hours. M23 have so far failed in entering the large town. DR Congo military sources say the M23 have outflanked them, likely from the west, and have begun attacking Buliba. The loss of Buliba will cut the N2 supply route to Kitsambiro.

Unlike the South Kivu direction, where the FARDC have completely collapsed, in the North Kivu direction DR Congo have been responding with strong resistance.
