If a new election were to be held its possible that Bloc Quebecois would become the official opposition to a Tory majority as they gobble up the remaining Liberal seats in Montreal.

Trudeau's Liberal party hasnt won a plurality of the popular vote since 2015 yet remained in power for 10 years due to co-operation with the NDP.

The NDP leader Jadmeet Singh has now called for Trudeau to resign after Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland stepped down from the Cabinet this morning, cementing Trudeau's fate.
