Statement on the Ethical Principles of Public Health | Hillsdale in D.C.

Ethical Principles of Public Health

1.   All public health advice should consider the impact on overall health, rather than solely be concerned with a single disease. It should always consider both benefits and harms from public health measures and weigh short-term gains against long-term harms.
2.   Public health is about everyone. Any public health policy must first and foremost protect society's most vulnerable, including children, low-income families, persons with disabilities and the elderly. It should never shift the burden of disease from the affluent to the less affluent.
3.   Public health advice should be adapted to the needs of each population, within cultural, religious, geographic, and other contexts. 
4.   Public health is about comparative risk evaluations, risk reduction, and reducing uncertainties using the best available evidence, since risk usually cannot be entirely eliminated.
5.   Public health requires public trust. Public health recommendations should present facts as the basis for guidance, and never employ fear or shame to sway or manipulate the public.
6.   Medical interventions should not be forced or coerced upon a population, but rather should be voluntary and based on informed consent.  Public health officials are advisors, not rule setters, and provide information and resources for individuals to make informed decisions. 
7.   Public health authorities must be honest and transparent, both with what is known and what is not known. Advice should be evidence-based and explained by data, and authorities must acknowledge errors or changes in evidence as soon as they are made aware of them.. 
8.   Public health scientists and practitioners should avoid conflicts-of-interest, and any unavoidable conflicts-of-interest must be clearly stated.
9.   In public health, open civilized debate is profoundly important. It is unacceptable for public health professionals to censor, silence or intimidate members of the public or other public health scientists or practitioners.
10. It is critical for public health scientists and practitioners always to listen to the public, who are living the public health consequences of public health decisions, and to adapt appropriately.

I don’t claim to have unique insights here. I don’t. But I do think I can see ways in which the perpetrators might play out their not inconsiderable hand.
Part of seeing past the curtain & know - for sure - that they’re lying to us all, please pay attention to the key lies.
Vaccination was a known unsuccessful strategy given the claimed profile of the vulnerable.
The next lie is they’re going to do it again. They always tell us. Recall Gates “In Pandemic 2 - I call this Pandemic 1….”
Well, now. I will illustrate why there aren’t any pandemics of severe respiratory illnesses. All lies.
Finally, the madness of centralizing power at the corrupt WHO, I explain why it will definitely result in suboptimal outcomes, even if they were earnest and honest.
If you find ANY of the arguments convincing, please help by sharing them with other people.
The evil perpetrators will succeed only with our assent. They’ll have it passively or actively. Let’s deny them both ways.

Though this (armed forces c19 vaccine mandate) is an evil & irrational policy, there’s now a decent head of steam behind it.
Lots of politicians are putting reputations on the line. They cannot now fail. Service personnel are injured and dying.
Other countries are involved, too.
The military will give way. If they won’t, they’ll be replaced by popular demand.
What’s needed is that Fox runs with this but does so with moderate stance and tone, because they need one other network to step up.
Fingers crossed.
Better late than never & I’m not impressed by Rand Paul’s slow rolling this, ignoring Ron Johnson’s invitations a long while prior to the recent elections. Senator Paul’s office signed up right after the elections, suggesting his campaign team felt vaccine issues could be toxic and would be exploited by his opponents.
It’s always the right time to do the right thing.

I saw mention of this emergency declaration in a Substack article & thought to look it up.

I’m not suggesting you read all 31 pages but a couple of questions that immediately came to mind as I leafed through it were:
1. Was this really written from scratch in 1Q2020? If so, what was it about a respiratory illness that prompted the form and meat of it?
2. Under what prior emergency situation would it ever have been considered necessary to have the extent of the powers contemplated in this Order? The seizure of private property including full title to said property is no more or less a doctrine expoused by Karl Marx. What the dickens is it doing in a place like Illinois?
You’ll likely have your own reactions.
What you probably won’t experience is “Oh yes, I can see how this made perfect sense, given the nature of the concerns of the day”.
I wonder if the general public was aware what had happened in terms of the granting of truly dictatorial powers by a notionally democratically elected local leader, their antennae might have been pinged?
Why not try, share with normies, asking them why in their view this is entirely reasonable. It’d be interesting watching them try, and fail, to make any sense of this :)

UK regulator appoints former Google exec as “Online Safety” head after online censorship bill is reintroduced

"A former Google executive will play a key role in developing new “online safety” rules in the United Kingdom (UK) as a new censorship and surveillance law is expected to come into force.
Gill Whitehead, who was previously a member of Google’s UK Management Group and previously led Google’s consumer and market insights function across several continents, was appointed as the Group Director of Online Safety at the UK communications regulator, Office of Communications (Ofcom), yesterday.
The appointment was announced days after the UK government reintroduced the “Online Safety Bill” — a censorship and surveillance law that will empower Ofcom to levy huge fines against Big Tech firms that fail to enforce the censorship rules in their terms of service consistently.
Whitehead will start leading Ofcom’s Online Safety Group from April 2023 as it starts preparing new rules that will “hold tech firms to account for prioritising their users’ safety.”

the plans to ban private messaging in the UK are still in the Online Safety Bill. A legal analysis that was published last week found that the bill gives the government the right to “impose technologies that would intercept and scan private communications on a mass scale.”

the government press release states that platforms “may have to use age assurance measures” when the Online Safety Bill comes into force. This means that adults could be forced to hand over highly sensitive information, by submitting scans of their identity documents or having their face biometrically scanned, in order to use social media platforms

Ice core data proxy for temperature over a very long period of time reveals over 3C variation.
Temperature variation in more recent years does show movement but much less than the natural range.
Data sources listed at base of figure.
Bottom line, the claimed temperature change observed relatively recently is unremarkable. The natural variation is much larger. Not a basis for pulling the Big Yellow Handle on human civilization.

National Grid is set to trigger its emergency blackout plan tomorrow. It's going to pay people to turn off their energy to avoid power cuts.

National Grid will decide by around 2.30pm today whether to issue a notice to suppliers and households.

Anyone going along with this for an extra tenner a month is more than stupid. Once we are rationed they will say "oh you managed" and it will be rationed forever.
