A study from a blood transfusion unit in Boca Raton evaluating measles virus antibody titers revealed an alarming 3-fold decline over the 59 years following mass vaccination, while donors exposed to natural measles maintained excellent levels of neutralizing antibodies.
“Because of being vaccinated, and not receiving the live virus itself, they were no longer protected,” Wakefield explains. “This is really alarming. These ostensibly healthy individuals had no neutralizing antibody to measles virus.”

Vaccines have not curbed death rates from Covid in countries around the world. There is no clear evidence that they have saved lives and they have probably done more to precipitate deaths than to avert them.
This is a conclusion reached after completing a straightforward statistical study that compares the death rate from Covid to the level of vaccination within each of the individual countries.
If vaccinations were doing what they were promised to do, then countries in which higher proportions of the population became vaccinated would be countries in which relatively fewer people died from the virus. But there is no evidence that such a thing happened.

This study says nothing about the efficacy of individual vaccinations. Neither does it say anything about what might cause an elderly death rate to be high or low. It even is silent regarding the forces that might be responsible for shifts in the elderly death rate from year one to year two.
What it does say is that national vaccination campaigns — no matter how vigorously or authoritatively pursued — had no measurable capacity to bring down death rates for the elderly. What is true for the elderly is probably true for all younger age groups as well, but even if not, the elderly Covid deaths are such a large part of all Covid deaths that the overall picture might be shifted only slightly.
In conclusion, a word must be said about the unwillingness of most country governments to present data showing how ineffective their vaccination programs have been. The results of this study suggest that this “oversight” is in fact a form of obfuscation.

Was the COVID Vaccine Safe for Pregnant Women?
In December 2020, just before the vaccines for COVID-19 were first released to the public, Dr. Mandy Cohen, the Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Resources in North Carolina, urged everyone to get vaccinated as soon as they were able. “Corners were not cut,” Cohen said with confidence.
Then as now, pregnant women asked if COVID vaccines were safe for them. Public health officials said “yes” when the correct answer should have been “we don’t know yet,” given that pregnant and breastfeeding women were excluded from the original COVID vaccine trials. With Cohen set to replace Dr. Rochelle Walensky as director of the Center for Disease Control at the end of June, it is a good time to consider how Walensky performed on COVID—and in particular, on Women’s health issues—and ask whether Cohen will be any different.
In February 2021, to settle the controversy over whether the COVID vaccines should be used during pregnancy, Pfizer launched a randomized controlled trial of 4,000 pregnant women. But five months into the study, after enrolling 349 women, the study mysteriously stopped recruiting. Pfizer never offered a reason. Most concerning, the pregnancy outcomes of those who participated in the trial, and their babies, are still not public today, nearly two years later.
But the CDC did not wait for good data to make a decisive recommendation. In April 2021, just four months after the COVID vaccine was first granted an emergency use authorization and two months into the then ongoing Pfizer pregnancy trial, Walensky decided not to wait for the trial results, and instead recommended that all “pregnant people” get the vaccine. Three months later, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) followed the CDC and “enthusiastically” recommended it as well.

Will US Pharma See Lawsuits Over COVID Vaccine Side Effects?
BioNTech, a German company specializing in mRNA-based vaccines, is facing its first lawsuit in Germany related to alleged side effects of its COVID-19 vaccine, developed in partnership with Pfizer and authorized for emergency use in 158 countries, Reuters reported last week.
But in the U.S., vaccine makers are protected from any such liability until October 2024, thanks to a provision the federal government put forth at the start of the pandemic.
Omar Ochoa, a legal expert in biopharma and related cases, told BioSpace that the move was meant to promote the rapid innovation of vaccines that could change the course of the outbreak.
“You tend to incentivize to assure all the manufacturers and the distributors that would have to be involved in all of these things so they can build the plane as its flying.”
Whether the speed of the COVID-19 vaccine development was due to the PREP Act is impossible to say, but the first emergency use authorization for the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine for individuals 16 years of age and older was issued on Dec. 11, 2020—less than a year after the virus reached U.S. soil. That’s compared to the typical 5 to 10 years of development time for vaccines to reach the U.S. market, according to Johns Hopkins University.
The new lawsuit comes amidst ongoing efforts to ideate how to deal with future pandemics in the U.S. Whether the legal immunity granted to U.S. vaccine developers this time around comes under question remains to be seen, but Ochoa noted that these companies are largely protected, even in the absence of such special circumstances.
U.S. Implications: The PREP Act
In March 2020, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) secretary issued the Public Readiness and Emergency Preparedness (PREP) Act pertaining to COVID-19 tests, drugs and vaccines. This declaration aimed to provide liability protections to various entities involved in the development, distribution and administration of COVID-19 countermeasures.
Unless a party engages in willful misconduct, covered entities—including biopharma vaccine manufacturers—are granted immunity from lawsuits and liability under federal and state law for claims related to losses resulting from the administration or use of covered countermeasures, such as COVID-19 vaccines. The PREP Act sunsets on Oct. 1, 2024, but for now, this means that Pfizer, Moderna and Novavax—the three U.S.-based producers of COVID-19 vaccines—are protected by complete immunity, except in the case of a willful violation.
“Willful violations are very hard to prove. You have to show that the company knew about some danger and proceeded anyway,” Ochoa said. “It’s a very hard standard.”
