Robert F. Kennedy Jr., in his first major action as Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services, has paused a multimillion-dollar contract for a new COVID-19 vaccine.
Kennedy cited the Biden administration’s poor oversight over the past four years, calling for a review of vaccine agreements, including the one with Vaxart.
This comes just days after he was sworn in and launched the "Make America Healthy Again" Commission to address America's worsening health crisis.
"While it is crucial that the Department [of] Health and Human Services (HHS) support pandemic preparedness, four years of the Biden administration’s failed oversight have made it necessary to review agreements for vaccine production, including Vaxart’s," Kennedy said in comments provided to Fox News Digital on Tuesday.
