I'm also nova prime user
But I don't use it because of same stuttery app closing animation (even worse than ruthless)

Lawnchair dev version is good
They just need to add more app launch animation styles.

I'm using smart launcher just because of animations
And it is good for customisation too
Like
1. One UI like stackable widgets
(Multiple widgets can be placed in single widget)
2. Blur effect in app drawer
3. Inbuilt live responsive lwidgets like music player, battery widget, notes todolist,etc.

You can only blame google for the same...animations are broken ever since android 9...no third party launcher can provide smooth animations without root...

Looks like it. The other video apps works just fine. Even yt vanced worked just fine on OnePlus launcher but somehow doesn't work on this. Will try to look into it and post an update here.

Found this today. Had to tap bottom left corner of the screen to pull up pip video when using YouTube vanced, it happens randomly.

Model: OP7 running Android 10.

Can anyone help me with this?

I have used that launcher... It is too heavy for my liking.. Infact i have nova launcher prime, lawnchair, hyperion but i always stick to ruthless because of how light weight it is.. Still using March 29, 2021 build as it is the most stable one...

Animations are the most important thing why most of users stuck with stock launcher
I'm also one of them

For reference
Smart launcher 6 really stepped up their game in animations
They added background blur while opening and closing app which almost gives stock like feel
And their app closing animation is consistent too.
