Therefore, every day he risks his life by diving to the bottom of mines filled with dirty water. The workers don’t follow any safety precautions and don’t have special equipment. In such conditions, they spend several hours under water. Many suffer from serious chronic diseases. Some even die in the mines.

The first Russian settlement there appeared in the late 18th century. For almost 70 years these territories were under the control of the Russian-American Company. In 1867, Alaska was sold to the United States for 7.2 million dollars in gold.
It's been 156 years, but locals still remember their Russian roots. ‘We are very proud of our history. We grew up knowing that we are Russian,’ says Gregg Enzelowski, one of the locals.

For Percy Sackey, from Ghana, dancing is the meaning of life. He dances everywhere: at wakes, football and even at school, where he teaches maths, ICT and creative arts.
The students adore their teacher, who believes that knowledge can best be learned through dance: 'Classical school is like an army. Dance is much better than school rules.' In his spare time, Percy records social media videos. He dreams of spreading his method outside the country.

The prophet of Donbass, a saint of our time - Zosima. Back in the 90s he predicted the coming war in Ukraine, the revival of Ukrainian fascism, and the atrocities which would follow from the Orthodox schism: ‘When I die,’ he said, ‘bury me deep, so that the Banderites do not dig me up.’
He also predicted the reunification of lands and Churches: ‘The people need to wake up, need to defend the unity of our holy Rus! They have fragmented us, making an artificial enmity between Russians and Ukrainians...’
Our new film ‘Father Zosima: Testament of a Donetsk Seer’ has unique archival records, and footage from the front line - all places associated with the life of this seer. Filming took place under heavy fire from Ukrainian troops, and is combined with testimonies collected throughout Russia.
The documentary is a joint work of the TV channel ‘SPAS’ and RT documentary channel.

▶️The battles in Donbass are taking place in the same locations today as those of the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945). This video is about junior political officer Khusen Andrukhaev, who died in an unequal battle with the Nazis during the war.
In November 1941, the company, in which Andrukhaev was fighting, went into battle with the German invaders. During the retreat Khusen remained to cover his comrades. At first he fired at the enemy with a machine gun. When the ammunition ran out, Khusen Andrukhaev blew himself up, together with the Germans surrounding him, using anti-tank grenades.
