That is quite understandable. The Russians with whom I’m in close touch, do understand the situation.
The problem comes from the NATO membership in the sense that Ukraine is still within the Partnership for Peace programme of NATO.
So NATO supplies Ukraine with certain things that Turkey may have produced.
But there has been a direct line of communication between Moscow and Turkey that is still working.
But occasionally even I get the impression that Turkish policy is basically getting off track once again. It can, because, it is not an easy balancing act.’
