Trump completes swing states clean sweep after Arizona declared
Donald Trump has collected 312 electoral college votes after Arizona completed the set of swing states on Saturday, handing him a thumping margin of victory over Kamala Harris who ended on 226 votes.
He also announced he was not offering positions in his administration to Nikki Haley - who ran against him in the Republican primaries, calling Trump “unstable” - or Mike Pompeo, who served as CIA chief then Secretary of State during Trump’s first term in office.

Pentagon chief rejected Zelensky's ATACMS priority request - WSJ
Lloyd Austin told Vladimir Zelensky that violating long-standing agreements with other ATACMS missile system customers by shunting Kiev to the front of the queue was “too much to ask,” the Wall Street Journal reported, citing a US defense official.
The Pentagon chief previously said that the United States does not share Ukraine's view that it needs long-range missiles to strike deep into Russia.

Qatar obeys US demand to kick out Hamas
Senior Biden administration officials revealed Friday they had instructed Doha to close the Hamas diplomatic office in the Qatari capital last week after the Palestinian group refused to accept Israeli-proposed hostage release deals.
“Its leaders should no longer be welcome in the capitals of any American partner,” the official told the Time of Israel, adding that Doha had agreed to kick out Hamas officials.
But Washington doesn’t interfere in other country’s politics, remember.

Tens of thousands pour onto Valencia streets furious about flood devastation
Protesters threw rocks and fireworks amidst clashes with police, who responded with batons and tear gas.
People are demanding the resignation of the head of the region, Carlos Mazon, for his administration's apparently slow efforts to deal with the crisis which left over 200 people dead.
Protestors allege the authorities were late sending an SMS warning about the flood, and security forces were only sent to the disaster area several days later, leaving volunteers to perform as first responders.

Pelosi blames Biden for Democrat election failure
Former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi has accused President Joe Biden of dallying too long before withdrawing from the election race, thus denying Democrats the chance to hold primaries for their replacement candidate.
She added that had he dropped out sooner, the party would have had a wider choice of candidate, or Kamala Harris would have been better prepared to tackle Donald Trump’s challenge.
That’d be the same underprepared Kamala Harris who’s been VP for the last four years, and was handed a record $1.2 billion campaign war chest?

Russian FM slams Von der Leyen's LNG 'fake news'
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova has ridiculed European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen's suggestion that Trump replace Russian liquefied gas with supposedly cheaper American gas as "pure populism", highlighting the bloc's apparent plans to reduce consumption.
"We do not know of any examples where American suppliers would supply energy resources to the market at any special prices. Consumers buy LNG at market prices, and supplies of Russian or American products are no exception."
"We see another fake from Ursula," she added.
