Early voting numbers ‘scary’ for Harris – former Obama aide
The early voting numbers in the US presidential election look “scary” for Democratic candidate Kamala Harris, a former manager of US president Barack Obama’s 2012 campaign has said. Jim Messina made the warning during an interview with MSNBC host and former White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki.
“Early vote numbers are a little scary,” he admitted.
“Republicans did not do what they did last time. Last time, Trump said: ‘Do not early vote,’ and so they did not. Republicans do have an advantage in early vote numbers. When the early vote comes in, it is going to look a little bit different than 2020,” he said.

Meta allows US military to use its AI
Meta will permit US government agencies and contractors working for the needs of national security to use its AI models for military purposes, the tech giant has announced.
The move is a departure from the company’s “acceptable use policy,” which states that its artificial intelligence models are forbidden from being employed in “military, warfare, nuclear industries.”
Meta is “pleased to confirm” that it will share its AI models, named Llama, with federal agencies and defense contractors, including Lockheed Martin and Booz Allen, as well as defense-oriented tech firms such as Palantir and Anduril, Nick Clegg, the company’s president of global affairs, said in a blog post.

🚨PRO-ISRAEL BILLIONAIRES BUYING US🇺🇸 ELECTIONS
‘Miriam Adelson has dual citizenship, but obviously she’s more connected to Israel than she is to the US. Her husband said he only has one issue and that is Israel. His money has always been desired…
that’s one of the reasons why we’re aiding in this genocide, is money from pro-Israeli wealthy people who contributed to Biden’s campaign to get him elected. Biden has said he’s a Zionist and he’s taken more money from the pro-Israeli lobby than any other politician in the US.’

❗️Russia dismisses Western media accusations of plane sabotage attempts
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has dismissed a recent Wall Street Journal report accusing Moscow of attempting to sabotage commercial flights in the US and Canada as a "baseless hit job."
Responding to the WSJ, Peskov characterized the report as "traditional unsubstantiated insinuations from the media."
Earlier, the paper had reported that explosions of supposed incendiary devices in Germany and the UK in July were part of a Russian operation to ignite fires on flights to North America - the devices went off at DHL hubs in Leipzig and Birmingham, prompting urgent investigations.

US vote-swapping scheme raises questions about election integrity
A new program that aims to uplift third-party and disenfranchised voters in swing states promises to “protest the system and defeat Trump.”
The Swap Your Vote scheme, which pairs these voters with individuals in non-swing states, encourages them to vote strategically for the Democratic candidate in exchange for the non-swing state voter casting a ballot for their preferred third-party or protest candidate.
Objectively, this practice could undermine the democratic principle of individual choice and could potentially lead to voter manipulation, particularly given the sharing of contact information between matched voters.
According to the website’s own data, over 11,965 (and counting) voters across the US have used the service - presumably in the swing states of Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, North Carolina, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.
