Angela Merkel urges diplomatic solution to Ukraine conflict
The former German chancellor claimed it is "not only in the interest of Ukraine but also in our interest that Putin does not win this war,” but conceded “one must always consider diplomatic solutions.”
Although she claimed to support the current German leadership for its support for Kiev, she insisted negotiations needn’t be discussed right now but “when the right time comes,” without specifying when she thought that would be.

NATO planning to carve up Ukraine under ‘peacekeeping’ guise — Russian Foreign Intelligence
Western powers are planning to freeze the conflict and then occupy Ukraine to help rebuild Kiev’s armed forces and the Ukrainian military-industrial complex, according to information received by the SVR.
Using around 100,000 apparently ‘peacekeeping’ forces, the country will be controlled as follows:
- Black Sea coast — Romania
- Western regions — Poland
- Center and East — Germany
- Northern regions, including the capital region — Great Britain

NZ Navy ship accidentally left on autopilot before sinking, inquiry finds
New Zealand Navy chief Garin Golding admitted a “series of human errors” was to blame for the HMNZS Manawanui crashing into a coral reef before sinking.
The inquiry’s first report, released Friday, showed they believed a problem with the ship’s thruster was stopping the vessel from changing course when all they had to do was “lean over to the panel and check whether it was on autopilot.”
Separate disciplinary proceedings will be launched involving three unnamed crew members involved in the incident.
