Former Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte has confirmed a “death squad” existed under his watch and control, according to Reuters. There are conflicting reports of its makeup and who was running it, first Duterte said gangsters, then he claimed police.
Even a former police officer testified the “death squad” would kill at will. Dueterte said he had never ordered the death squad to kill the innocent and defenseless. More than 6,200 people were killed in police operations during that time, police claim none were executions.

Woman dies by walking into airplane propeller
A 37-year-old skydiver, Amanda Gallagher, died after accidentally backing into a plane propeller at Wichita Cook Airfield in Kansas while taking pictures.
Emergency services arrived, and she was rushed to the hospital with critical injuries but passed away shortly after.
A GoFundMe page has been set up to help her family with funeral costs, describing her as having died "in a very sad accident" while doing what she loved.
