Hani Odeh, a 7-year-old Lebanese boy, is battling lymph node cancer at a refugee school in Sidan after he was displaced due to the ongoing conflict.
“We came here to escape the bombing because we are at war, and Israel is bombing Tyre and the south,” he said.
Tyre and its surroundings have been under bombardment after Israel began a “limited and targeted” ground incursion against Hezbollah in Lebanon last week.
“I miss Tyre, I miss my school, home, and toys,” Hani said. “I feel uncomfortable here and very annoyed by the place, and I don't like being here,” he added.

Here comes MILTON: The hurricane bears down on the US state of Florida
The Weather Channel showed a realistic simulation. In some areas, flood levels could reach 9 feet (over 2.7 m), and in some places even 15 feet (over 4.5 m).
The hurricane is now a category five hurricane, with wind speeds of about 270 km/h. Mandatory evacuations have been introduced in 11 Florida counties, AP reports.
Milton is supposed to land sometime in the afternoon.

EU airline boss wants China to pay for continuing to fly over Russia
The EU should establish financial measures to curb competition from Chinese airlines that can freely cross Russian airspace, according to KLM CEO Marjan Rintel.
Western countries closed their airspace to Russian airlines as part of sanctions imposed after the outbreak of the Ukraine conflict in 2022. In response, Moscow banned aircraft from ‘unfriendly nations’, forcing EU planes to reroute, resulting in higher fuel consumption and increased costs.
“Russia’s airspace is closed to European airlines, while Chinese carriers fly over it, which can save two to four hours. You see that reflected in pricing, and consequently, our costs are higher,” Rintel said in an interview with Dutch broadcaster WNL. Rintel suggested that Brussels should intervene to address this competitive imbalance. “Europe can at least explore how we can level the playing field by adjusting pricing or examining other alternatives,” she stated.

US FAA issues safety alert over Boeing 737s — Reuters
The FAA issued a safety alert to airlines warning of the potential for limited or jammed rudder movement on certain Boeing 737 airplanes. The NTSB recommendation came as they investigate a February incident involving a United Airlines flight.
The safety alert directs pilots and airline operators to review Boeing's procedure for responding to a jammed rudder but does not require new parts. The NTSB earlier criticized Boeing for failing to inform United the 737s it received were equipped with actuators and expressed other concerns.
