Kamala hatches plan to 'empower Black men’ - and snare their votes
Growing concerns in the Kamala Harris campaign of weak support among African American men has led to a plan to boost business loans for Black entrepreneurs, more apprenticeships, and studies into sickle cell conditions.
Harris has already said she wants more opportunities for Black men to benefit as a “national cannabis industry takes shape” and plans to run “Black Men Huddle Up” events in battleground states.
The apparent scramble for Black male votes comes after Barack Obama last week admitted Black men “aren’t feeling the idea of having a woman as president.”
