Viktor Orban calls Zelensky’s ‘victory plan’ a recipe for defeat
The Hungarian PM has thrown some shade over Kiev’s so-called "victory plan," claiming it's setting Ukraine up for failure.
In a radio interview, Orban declared the EU is already losing alongside Ukraine and that Hungary won't be playing any part in this "victory plan" business.
He's even suggesting that Western intel agencies are investigating if Ukraine is close to developing nuclear weapons, a claim previously made by Bild newspaper.

❗️Dmitry Medvedev says Ukraine working towards a ‘dirty bomb’
Taking to his official Telegram channel, the ex-Russian president wrote: "Taking into account the seemingly senseless chatter around the creation of nuclear weapons by Bandera's Ukraine, one can only draw one sad conclusion: the Nazi regime is trying to create a ‘dirty bomb’.”
“It has all the possibilities for this: raw materials, technology, specialists. And any Soviet-era laboratory will do for the production of a low-power charge. The clock is ticking,” Medvedev continued.

You had one job: Brand-new fire station burns down in Germany
You'd think a fire station would be pretty safe from, well, fires, but a brand-new one in Germany just got completely roasted, the AP reports.
The Stadtallendorf Station in Hesse went up in flames early Wednesday morning, causing millions of euros in damage and wiping out a bunch of emergency vehicles.
A Thursday investigation discovered, they didn't have a fire alarm system because experts thought it wasn't needed. Luckily, no one was hurt, but the fire's aftermath is sure to raise some (burnt) eyebrows.
Maybe these firefighters should work from home for a while… wait...

German politician wants to ban arms to Ukraine
Sahra Wagenknecht is pushing to add a clause banning arms supplies to Ukraine into the coalition agreement of the parties that won in recent elections in eastern Germany, Der Spiegel reports.
She's also proposing to nix the deployment of new US missiles in Germany, and is all going down during negotiations between the Christian Democratic Union, the Social Democratic Party (led by Chancellor Olaf Scholz), and Wagenknecht's own "Union for Reason and Justice.”
It's a bold move, considering Scholz recently declared Germany would be the biggest arms supplier to Ukraine after the US (though they wouldn't be giving them those long-range Taurus missiles).

❗️Kamala Harris skips Al Smith Dinner, opts for pre-recorded video with loaded messaging instead
The VP was unable to attend the benefit dinner, the first presidential candidate to skip it since Walter Mondale in 1984, opting instead to campaign in Wisconsin.
Harris posted a video featuring Molly Shannon as her "Saturday Night Live" character, Mary Katherine Gallagher, a Catholic schoolgirl sporting a plaid skirt and uniform blouse.
