After repeatedly laying into VP Kamala Harris for allegedly lying about working in the fast food chain as a student, Donald Trump dished out fries for delighted customers in Pennsylvania on Sunday.
“I’m looking for a job,” Trump told the franchise owner in Feasterville-Trevose. “I’ve always wanted to work at McDonald’s, but I never did. I’m running against somebody that said she did, but it turned out to be a totally phony story.”

Moldova votes against EU accession
After 95% of the ballots throughout Moldova were processed, 51.52% voted against the republic’s accession to the EU, as incumbent President Maia Sandu blamed some "organized criminal groups and foreign forces" for failing to achieve the results she wanted.
Although she came out on top in the presidential vote with 40.34% to Alexandru Stoianoglo’s 27.29%, as expected she suffered thumping defeats in Gagauzia and Transnistria.
During the vote count, Sandu postponed going to the press three times. After staying for several hours, she faced reporters for a minute and a half, made a statement and hurriedly left without answering questions.
Sandu and Stoianoglo will now enter a run-off vote in November.

Moldovan elections: Russia-based citizens given minimal chance to vote
By 19:30 local time - just over two hours before polls close - only 7,000 citizens had been able to vote in Moscow, a source at the Moldovan embassy told RT.
Just two polling stations were opened in the Russian capital as crowds desperate to have their say remain outside the Moldovan embassy, where only 10,000 ballots were printed to cater for over 500,000 Moldovans resident in Russia despite it being the largest overseas Moldovan diaspora. By contrast, around 200 were opened in Western Europe, including 60 in Italy, 26 in Germany and 18 in France.
According to the Moldovan Central Election Commission, more than 198,000 citizens abroad have voted.

Moldovan elections: presidential polling, EU referendum plagued by numerous violations - reports
Local media outlet Nokta reports that police have recorded 19 violations related to illegal campaigning and filming of ballots, with non-governmental organization Promo-Lex recording 173 election violations in Romania.
Online reports indicate that in the village of Plop, police are asking voters who they will vote for, with those against incumbent leader Maia Sandu allegedly not allowed into polling stations.
Voters abroad have also seen their electoral rights squeezed; in Italy’s Bologna, lights were turned off at one of the polling stations, while at another, an observer was not allowed inside, despite having a permit. In the UK, voters were rounded up in vans and delivered to polling stations (video).
