🎙 Excerpt from Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s interview for Looking Back television programme hosted by Leonid Mlechin (Moscow, March 21, 2026)
Key points:
• Diplomacy is about national interests, mutual respect, understanding, and willingness, as well as the ability to appreciate the legitimate positions of your dialogue partner or vis-à-vis and, by all means, pragmatism.
• Every negotiation is unlike the other and largely - if not decisively - depends on personalities of the people at the negotiating table, their education level and whether they possess the qualities we particularly value in the Russian diplomatic service.
• For talks to be productive, it is, without a doubt, important to be versant in the subject matter, especially when discussing deep-rooted issues that go back decades or even centuries. In the Middle East, saying “Here’s the deal, take it before it’s too late” will never work.
• History unfolds in a spiral. Another well-known observation is that history tends to repeat itself as a farce. <...> Overall, we are witnessing a stage in history which may be a spiral, but it is taking us back to a world where nothing existed - no international law, no Versailles system, no Yalta system - nothing. A world where might makes right. Yet, as you know from a famous line by a well-known film character, “God is not in strength, but in truth.”
• Look at what is happening. The United States has officially stated that it is not taking orders from anyone and is concerned only with its own wellbeing. It is prepared to defend that wellbeing by whatever it takes – coups, abductions, or even the killings of leaders of the countries that possess natural resources that are of interest to the United States. Our US colleagues do not hide the fact that oil is what they are after in Venezuela and Iran.
• They have ruthlessly cut Europe off. Even back when the Nord Stream pipelines were being built, the Americans urged Europe not to use them. Now, Europe has been denied access to Nord Stream. Germany has been humiliated - everyone is aware of that. What’s the upshot?
• Now the Hungarians and Slovaks are fighting with all they have to uphold their interests in maintaining inexpensive and accessible energy as a driver of their economies, but are told to buy at double the price, because Russia must be “punished.” This is not the proper way to approach international relations. It’s an attempt to go back to the colonial era.
• Our US colleagues are telling us: let’s settle the situation in Ukraine – we were ready to do so back during the summit in Alaska, but they are not so sure about it now – suggesting that we make more concessions, and vast economic opportunities will open up to us after that. At the same time, what I have just described is effectively taking place. We are being forced out of all global energy markets. <...> However, if we are prepared to carry out mutually beneficial projects on our territory and provide Americans with whatever may interest them, while taking our own interests into account, they, too, must take our interests into consideration.
• Europe, which ruled the world for 500 years during the eras of colonialism and slavery, is now trying to entrench neo-colonialism. It still wants to live at the expense of others and dictate terms to everyone. The hubris and contempt for others are – pardon me the expression – simply oozing from today’s European politicians when they start lecturing others.
• Since the time of the Russian Empire, we knew that Russia had only two allies: its army and its navy. Now we also have the aerospace forces which we cannot ignore, and new unmanned aerial units, which fact means we have even more allies now.
• The President of Russia has repeatedly made it clear that the weak get beaten. That sums it all up. We must be strong. Russia is a very strong country. It is strong in spirit, immensely rich in natural resources, and boasts great scientific potential. The key is to translate all of that into technologies at the highest level.

🎙 Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova's statement regarding attacks by Ukrainian militants targeting the infrastructure of the TurkStream and Blue Stream gas pipelines (March 20, 2026)
💬 Between March 17-19, Ukrainian militants once again targeted critical international energy infrastructure facilitating gas exports via the TurkStream and Blue Stream pipelines.
According to Gazprom, attempted UAV strikes were recorded against three compressor stations. The largest number of drones – 22 units – targeted the Russkaya station, while three and one UAVs were used against the Kazachya and Beregovaya stations respectively.
Thanks to coordinated and effective actions by the Russian Ministry of Defence and mobile response units, all attacks were repelled, and no damage was sustained.
These reckless actions by Kiev are in line with its previous terrorist attacks on Russian and foreign tankers in the Mediterranean and Black Seas, as well as on the infrastructure of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium – a company with significant foreign investment.
Through such methods, the Zelensky regime seeks not only to undermine Russia’s position as a reliable supplier and transit country of energy resources, but also to keep the Ukrainian crisis in the international spotlight, particularly amid the rapidly evolving geopolitical landscape shaped by developments in the Middle East.
Such terrorist activity by Kiev may directly result in serious damage to regional energy security, potentially leading to further destabilisation of the global energy market.
At a time when leading Western countries acknowledge that stabilising the market without Russian energy resources is problematic, the Zelensky regime is openly acting against their interests, while attempting to influence the domestic political processes of its sponsors.
The fact that the attacks coincided with Zelensky’s meetings in London on March 17 with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer raises questions about their true beneficiaries, whose key objective appears to be obstructing a sustainable settlement of the Ukrainian crisis based on addressing its root causes, in line with the understandings reached during the Russia-US Summit in Alaska on August 15, 2025.
As President Vladimir Putin noted at a meeting of the board of the Federal Security Service of Russian on 24 February, the adversary is resorting to such terrorist attacks in conditions where it is unable to achieve its primary objective – to inflict a strategic defeat on Russia on the battlefield. The aim is evident – to derail the diplomatic settlement process, to “dismantle everything that has already been achieved on the negotiation track.”
☝️ For our part, we continue to work jointly with partners interested in the safe and reliable operation of international energy and logistics infrastructure ensuring supplies of Russian hydrocarbons.
It is essential to increase collective pressure on the Kiev regime to compel it to cease these reckless strikes that pose a threat to international energy routes.
🥇 President of Russia Vladimir Putin presented state awards of the Russian Federation to the winners and medalists of the 2026 Paralympic Winter Games, at the Kremlin.
The Games took place in Italy from March 6 to 15, 2026. The Russian team, comprising six athletes and one sighted guide, competed in three disciplines – cross-country skiing, alpine skiing, and snowboarding – and won a total of 12 medals: eight gold, one silver, and three bronze, securing third place in the overall team standings.

The extravehicular activity lasted 23 minutes and 41 seconds, including 12 minutes and 9 seconds spent in the vastness of open space.

Despite a team of just six athletes and one guide, our Paralympians delivered a phenomenal performance.

In the overall standings, Russia finished 3rd, behind only China and the US with many more athletes on the teams.

⚡️ Russia's Investigative Committee:
On March 12, evidence collected by the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation has been deemed sufficient by the court to convict 19 defendants in the case of the terrorist attack at the Crocus City Hall concert venue on March 22, 2024.
Members of the terrorist organisation “Wilayah Khorasan”, as well as their accomplices and those who supplied weapons to the terrorists and were affiliated with the terrorist movement of Batal-Hadzhi Belkhoroev were found guilty – depending on their respective roles – of committing crimes under the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
The investigation and the court established that preparations for the Crocus City Hall attack began several months before it was carried out. Some defendants arrived in Russia from abroad, where they had undergone initial training. Others already present in Russia were tasked with obtaining the means and tools necessary to carry out the crime.
▪️ As a result of the terrorist act, 149 people were killed, one person remains missing, and 609 citizens sustained injuries of varying severity. The total damage caused by the attack amounted to approximately 6 billion rubles.
After committing the crime, the perpetrators attempted to flee to Ukraine, but were detained in the Bryansk region and brought to Moscow. Some accomplices were instructed by the organisers to leave Russia, but were detained while attempting to cross the border.
❗️ It has been reliably established that this heinous crime was planned and carried out in the interests of the current leadership of Ukraine, with the aim of destabilizing the political situation in Russia.
By the court’s verdict, 19 defendants were sentenced – depending on their roles – to terms of imprisonment ranging from 19 years and 11 months to life, as well as fines of up to 2.7 million rubles.
Preliminary investigation continues with regard to two organisers and four members of the terrorist organisation. They have been placed on the international wanted list and arrested in absentia. Measures are underway to establish their whereabouts, with investigators and operational services actively cooperating with law enforcement agencies of other states.

⚡️ Russia's Foreign Ministry statement on the missile strike of the Ukrainian militants on Bryansk
On March 10, the neo-Nazi Kiev regime committed yet another heinous crime against the civilian population of Russia, carrying out a missile strike on Bryansk.
We strongly condemn this deliberately planned terrorist attack.
A busy business district in the city’s Sovetsky District came under targeted fire. The area is located near Bryansk State Engineering and Technology University, apartment buildings, commercial and industrial enterprises, catering establishments and children’s goods stores.
▪️ As a result of the attack, seven people were killed and 42 injured. One child, born in 2009, has been hospitalized in the regional children’s hospital.
The authorities are providing all necessary medical and other assistance and support. We extend our sincere condolences to the families and loved ones of the victims and wish a speedy recovery to those injured.
According to available information, the strike was carried out using approximately seven British long-range Storm Shadow missiles. The head of the Kiev regime, Zelensky, has already publicly reported to his handlers about this barbaric act, calling it a “successful operation” by the AFU and cynically thanking the command for its execution.
As we have repeatedly pointed out, the use of high-tech Western weapons is impossible without the direct involvement of foreign specialists who ensure their operation and targeting, as well as without the provision of the necessary intelligence data by certain NATO countries.
❗️ Western handlers of Kiev bear full responsibility for the consequences of this strike, which resulted in civilian casualties.
It is obvious that, having completely lost itself in geopolitical games and seeking to assert itself as the informal leader of the European “hardliners” on the Ukrainian track and an irreconcilable opponent of Russia, Britain has stepped beyond the bounds of international law and is ready, through the hands of its puppets, to move the conflict to a fundamentally new level in terms of destruction and human casualties.
We also note that the use of British weapons systems is taking place amid intensified political and diplomatic efforts in the Russia-US-Ukraine trilateral format aimed at resolving the Ukrainian crisis.
The goal of London and other Western capitals is obvious – to derail the peace process through a large-scale provocation involving civilian casualties and trigger an escalation of hostilities. This tactic is not new and is used by the sponsors of the Kiev regime every time a real prospect for settlement emerges.
It is no coincidence that the timing of this attack coincides with signals from Washington, expressing hope that negotiations on the Ukrainian settlement have reached a “turning point” and that achieving peace is quite realistic.
☝️ We call on relevant international organisations – first and foremost the UN, whose leadership has been informed of the situation but has so far refrained from commenting – to provide an adequate assessment of yet another criminal act of the Kiev regime and its violation of the norms of international humanitarian law.
Silence will be perceived as nothing less than tacit complicity in the criminal actions of Zelensky and his handlers, who are intent on escalating the conflict.

Ваша конференция знаменует начало практической работы этой межправительственной организации, учреждённой по инициативе Президента Республики Казахстан Касым-Жомарта Кемелевича Токаева, которую мы поддержали вместе с нашими коллегами из Белоруссии, Киргизии, Таджикистана и Узбекистана.
Русский язык в полной мере является нашим общим достоянием. Это не только один из официальных языков организаций системы ООН и ряда региональных многосторонних структур, но и незаменимое средство межнационального общения на всём евразийском пространстве.
Знание русского обеспечивает доступ к выдающимся достижениям мировой культуры и науки, расширяет возможности для взаимовыгодных контактов в экономической, гуманитарной и многих других сферах.

A criminal case has been opened following the massive shelling of the city of Bryansk by Ukrainian militants on March 10.
The Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia has initiated a criminal case on charges of a terrorist act (Clause “b”, Part 3, Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) in connection with an attack carried out by Ukrainian militants on the city of Bryansk.
On March 10, 2026, representatives of Ukrainian armed groups carried out a massive strike on residential areas and other civilian infrastructure in the Bryansk Region using missile weapons with high destructive capacity.
❗️ As a result of strikes and explosions involving at least eight missiles in Bryansk, no fewer than four civilians were killed and at least 42 people were injured. More than 70 infrastructure facilities and vehicles were also damaged, including premises of a civilian enterprise.
Investigators and forensic specialists are continuing their work at the scene, documenting and collecting evidence of the crime, while emergency services are dealing with the aftermath of the explosions and clearing damaged structures.
According to the investigation, the terrorist attack was carried out with the participation of servicemen from the Main intelligence directorate of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence, the armed forces of Ukraine and other Ukrainian military formations, as well as representatives of Ukraine’s senior military and political leadership. They acted as part of a criminal group with the aim of intimidating the population and attempting to destabilize the functioning of Russia’s state authorities.
Investigative measures are underway to identify the specific individuals among Ukrainian armed formations involved in organizing and carrying out this heinous crime against civilians.

Это благополучие они готовы отстаивать любыми способами – госпереворотами, похищениями или убийствами руководителей тех стран, у которых есть нужные американцам природные ресурсы. Венесуэла, Иран – наши американские коллеги не скрывают, что это нефть.
• Европу они [США] категорически «обрезали». Ещё давно, когда «Северные потоки» строились, американцы выступали за то, чтобы Европа от них отказалась. Сейчас получилось так, что Европе «отказали» в «Северных потоках». Германия была унижена. Все это понимают. Какой результат?
• Сейчас венгры со словаками бьются из последних сил, защищая свои интересы в том, чтобы сохранять дешёвые, доступные энергоносители как движитель своей экономики. А им говорят – нет, покупайте в два раза дороже, потому что надо «наказать» Россию. Это не подход к международным отношениям. Это – попытка вернуть колониальную эпоху.
• Когда наши американские коллеги нам говорят: давайте Украину сейчас урегулируем (причём мы к этому были готовы ещё на Аляске, теперь они начинают «колебаться»), посмотрите ещё, где можно сделать уступки, и потом у нас с вами откроются огромные экономические перспективы. Параллельно происходит то, что я сейчас вам описал. Нас вытесняют со всех энергетических мировых рынков. <...> Но если мы готовы на нашей территории осуществлять взаимовыгодные проекты и предоставлять американцам то, что их интересует, с учётом и наших интересов, то и они должны учитывать наши.
• Европа, пятьсот лет руководившая всем миром и в эпоху колониализма, в эпоху рабовладельчества, пытается и сейчас закрепить неоколониализм в мире. Она по-прежнему хочет жить за счёт других и всем всё диктовать. Высокомерие, презрение ко всем остальным, оно просто, извините, «прёт» из нынешних европейских политиков, когда они начинают заниматься нравоучениями.
• Ещё со времен Российской империи у нас было осознание, что у России есть только два союзника – армия и флот. Сейчас это ещё и воздушно-космические силы (мы не можем их игнорировать). Ещё у нас есть и новые войска беспилотных летательных аппаратов. Так что наших союзников будет больше.
• Президент России не раз говорил – слабых бьют. Вот и всё, собственно говоря. Надо быть сильными. Россия – очень сильная страна. Сильная духом. Сильнейшая страна по своим природным ресурсам, по своему научному потенциалу. Надо только суметь всё это перевести в технологии, которые сегодня были бы на самом высоком уровне.

🗓 On March 19, the Delegation of the Russian Federation to the Vienna Negotiations on Military Security and Arms Control, together with the Ambassador-at-Large of the MFA of Russia Mr. Rodion Miroshnik held an international teleconference War crimes of the AFU against the civilian population of the Belgorod region.
🌍 Representatives from over 70 countries participated in the event, joining the teleconference from across continents.
The keynote speakers included Ambassador-at-Large of the MFA of Russia on crimes committed by the Kiev regime Mr. Rodion Miroshnik, Deputy Governor of the Belgorod region Ms. Olga Medvedeva, journalist covering international affairs and public figure Mr. Scott Ritter, expert on UAVs used by the AFU against civilian targets, CEO of Ushkuynik Research and Production Center Mr. Alexey Chadayev, and journalist of SOLOVIOV Live and participant in the volunteer charity missions of the SVR (Soloviev Vladimir R.) ▪Over the past few years, and especially recently, we have observed a steady increase in the number of Ukrainian attacks on civilian infrastructure and civilians in the border regions of Russia. According to reports, significant part of these strikes fall on the territory of the Belgorod region. This applies not only to border settlements but also to Belgorod itself, the capital of the region, which has in fact become one of the most frequently shelled cities among regional capitals of our country.

We heard expert assessments of the scale of the risks faced by residents of border areas, as well as of the measures being taken to protect infrastructure and ensure the stable operation of vital systems.
▪It is important that the discussion was not merely ascertaining. It made it possible to record factual material that should be the subject of further analysis and discussion at international forums.
📍It's unacceptable that international human rights activists react with lightning speed to any Ukrainian news and make unfounded accusations against our country without even a preliminary investigation into incidents. When it comes to the deaths of people in Russian cities, they remain silent.
Double standards must be abandoned!
▪Participants of the teleconference supported the call for the international community to condemn the criminal acts of the Kiev regime against the civilians of our country.
☝Such events are an opportunity to convey to a wider audience facts that often remain unnoticed by a significant part of the global information space.

🗳 This historic moment was preceded by the all-Crimean referendum (March 16, 2014), in which an overwhelming majority of voters (96.77%) supported Crimea’s accession to the Russian Federation. In Sevastopol, 95.6% voted in favour of reunification with Russia.
The outcome of the referendum is an essence a just and long-awaited joint decision for both the people of Crimea and all citizens of our country.
🇷🇺 The long-awaited reunification of the peninsula with Russia became a milestone event in modern history – for Crimeans and for all citizens of our country – embodying the right of peoples to self-determination, as enshrined in the UN Charter.
Over the past 12 years, our opponents have made numerous attempts to punish Crimeans for their free choice – for their return to their home harbour. The residents of the peninsula have withstood not only water, energy, food and transport blockades, but also sanctions pressure and legal aggression unleashed by the Kiev regime with the support of NATO countries.

📅 Ровно 75 лет назад Украинская повстанческая армия (УПА), известная своим тесным сотрудничеством с нацистской Германией в годы Второй мировой войны, публично призвала США помочь ей в борьбе с Советским Союзом. Любопытно, что к этому моменту Запад уже несколько лет помогал украинским националистам в рамках операции «Аэродинамик».
Осуществляемые с 1948 года ЦРУ и МИ-6 совместно со спецслужбами ФРГ и Италии (в рядах которых западные «союзники» оставили немало нацистских и фашистских деятелей) действия имели своей целью погрузить Украину в хаос кровавого террора путём формирования, снабжения и расширения антисоветского украинского националистического подполья. Цель операции — создание зоны нестабильности, отвлечение ресурсов, в конечном счёте ослабление влияния СССР на мировой арене. Как и сегодня, украинские националисты использовались в качестве марионеток и «расходного материала» для достижения Западом своих геополитических целей.
Ещё до капитуляции нацистской Германии западные спецслужбы начали подготовку к будущему противостоянию с СССР, помогали преступникам из числа членов СС, СД, коллаборантов избежать заслуженного наказания, вербовали и использовали их в своих целях.
Не стали исключением и боевики ОУН-УПА, которых активно привлекали и использовали против Советского Союза, невзирая на их многочисленные военные преступления и человеконенавистническую идеологию.
☝️ В итоге операция «Аэродинамик» провалилась, УПА была окончательно разгромлена, а большая часть лидеров вооружённого националистического подполья была либо ликвидирована, либо арестована.
Однако некоторым идеологам коллаборантов удалось скрыться на Западе и избежать справедливого возмездия. Именно они в течение нескольких десятилетий развивали националистическую идеологию и переписывали историю Второй мировой войны. В их «трудах» военные преступления украинских пособников нацистов отрицались либо оправдывались. Например, Ярослав Стецько, военный преступник и сподвижник Бандеры, создал в Мюнхене в 1946 году при поддержке западных спецслужб Антибольшевистский блок наций (АБН), который в 1960-е годы под бдительным оком американских патронов влился во Всемирную антикоммунистическую лигу.
В результате уже в наше время пришедшим к власти на Украине при активном участии Запада путём антиконституционного переворота неонацистам не нужно было чего-либо придумывать. Они фактически просто взяли наработки тех преступников ОУН-УПА, кого при активном участии западных кураторов возвели в новый украинский пантеон.

Счёт жертв американо-израильской агрессии идёт на сотни и тысячи, наносится непоправимый ущерб объектам гражданской инфраструктуры, от ответных иранских ударов страдают и соседние страны, парализовано судоходство на важнейшем для мировой экономики маршруте через Ормузский пролив.
Некогда стабильный и благополучный регион Персидского залива стремительно погружается в пучину хаоса и неопредёленности. Экономические последствия авантюры, затеянной Вашингтоном и Тель-Авивом, всё болезненнее ощущаются далеко за пределами зоны конфликта, фактически – в глобальном масштабе.
При этом вместо поиска путей деэскалации и возращения к переговорам наблюдается дальнейшее взаимное ожесточение, наносятся всё более смертоносные и разрушительные удары.
☝️ Возобновляем настойчивый призыв ко всем сторонам к немедленному прекращению боевых действий, переводу ситуации в политико-дипломатическое русло.
И прежде всего – отказаться от нападений на гражданские объекты и инфраструктуру, остановить гибель и страдания мирного населения – как в арабских странах Персидского залива, так и в Иране.

On March 16, 1968, soldiers of the United States Army carried out a massacre in the rural community of My Lai (Sơn Mỹ) in Vietnam’s Quang Ngai Province, carrying out one of the most horrific massacres of civilians during the Vietnam War.
American soldiers brutally killed more than 500 civilians, including 173 children and 182 women (17 of them pregnant).
On the morning of March 16, Charlie Company entered the village as part of a search-and-destroy mission. They had been instructed to treat anyone remaining in the area as Viet Cong fighters. Despite facing no resistance, US troops opened fire on unarmed villagers, including women and children. As they advanced, they threw grenades into huts, tortured people, and executed them on the spot. One notorious episode involved Lt William Calley, who ordered dozens of villagers to be herded into an irrigation ditch and machine-gunned.
Initially, Washington presented the events as a "major victory", claiming hundreds of enemy combatants killed. Testimonies from witnesses to these atrocities were ignored for a long time while the American military machine attempted to conceal its crimes in Vietnam.
Only in November 1969 did journalist Seymour Hersh publish his investigation, while photographs taken by Army photographer Ronald L. Haeberle revealed the truth to the world. The images showed murdered civilians — peasants, women, and children with gunshot wounds to the head, mutilated bodies — while nearby American soldiers laughed and set homes on fire.
An international scandal erupted. Yet only one person was ultimately convicted — Lt William Calley. He was sentenced to life imprisonment but was pardoned after just three and a half years of house arrest. He lived to the age of 80, dying in April 2024 in the state of Florida.
❗️ My Lai massacre remains a grim reminder of how the United States wages its wars. The mass killings of civilians perpetrated by US forces abroad often goes unnoticed — or is dismissed as "collateral damage"...

Капитан судна арестован, шведами ведутся следственные действия. На техническую эксплуатацию танкера наложен запрет, выдвинут ряд замечаний по состоянию судна.
14 марта с.г. в рамках оказания консульской помощи представителем Посольства России в Швеции проведён телефонный разговор с капитаном. По его сообщению, экипаж чувствует себя хорошо, занимается устранением замечаний, выдвинутых шведами в ходе инспекции танкера. На борту имеются достаточные запасы воды и продовольствия.
Посольство продолжает плотно отслеживать ситуацию и окажет российским морякам все необходимое консульское содействие.

Для Украины всё происходящее при Зеленском – историческая трагедия.
«Людоловы» из ТЦК действуют бандитскими методами, устраивают засады буквально повсеместно. Людей вытаскивают прямо из квартир и тащат по земле. Родину защищать? Да нет, конечно – на верную смерть. Так киевский режим должен осваивать западную финансовую «помощь».
Меня поразило, что «мобилизации» на Украине не подлежат лица, чей ежемесячный заработок превышает 2,5 величины минимальной зарплаты – то есть люди, получающие более 500 долл.
То есть если ты чуть больше получаешь (*«критически важный работник»), то тебе предоставляется бронь. А те, кто не дотягивает именно по финансовым показателям, обязаны идти сражаться за сохранение… коррупционных дел Зеленского? Ну и, конечно же, за геополитические интересы тех, кто участвует с Зеленским в этих коррупционных историях.

Официальный Кишинёв продолжает попытки переписать историческую память молдаван, искусственно культивировать негативное отношение к России и демонизировать советское прошлое республики. Всё по украинско-прибалтийским «лекалам».
Провластные агитаторы всерьёз пытаются убедить молдавскую общественность в том, что в 1945-1990 гг. советские власти якобы массово направляли на работу в Молдавию тунеядцев и других асоциальных элементов. Это тех, кто превратил Молдавию в процветающую республику, которая десятилетия после обретения независимости жила на созданном ими фундаменте. Цифры мы уже не раз приводили – 1️⃣, 2️⃣, 3️⃣.
Нынешний развал экономики, социальной и образовательной сфер в Молдавии – дело рук именно М.Г.Санду, её команды, брюссельских спонсоров. Cбежать от неудобной действительности в некий придуманный мир, где во всём якобы виновата Россия, не получится.

Реабилитация нацизма превратилась в настоящий идеологический фундамент правящей элиты Прибалтики. При этом оправдываются совершённые нацистами и их пособниками преступления против человечности в годы Великой Отечественной войны.
Замалчивается тот факт, что за годы войны руками местных прибалтийских палачей уничтожено:
в Латвии – свыше 300 тысяч мирных жителей и примерно столько же военнопленных;
в Литве – 150 тысяч мирных жителей и 230 тысяч военнопленных;
в Эстонии – около 61 тысячи гражданских и 64 тысячи пленных советских воинов.
За что? Их уничтожали за то, что они сражались против нацизма и фашизма – так и надо говорить.
На территории Прибалтики, в том числе руками тех, кто будет шествовать по улицам Риги 16 марта, местные жители еврейской национальности были практически полностью уничтожены. Участие прибалтийских коллаборационистов в истреблении еврейского населения до сих пор тщательно скрывается.
В Евросоюзе хорошо знают об этой прибалтийской «специфике», но всячески покрывают факты реабилитации нацизма в угоду оголтелой русофобии.

💬 Sergey Lavrov: We are holding the first Ministerial Conference of the International Organisation for the Russian Language (#IORL). Allow me to declare it open. <...>
Indeed, the Russian language – rich, powerful and multifaceted – is our precious shared heritage, as the President of Russia has rightly noted. It is one of the most widely spoken languages in the world, including in the digital domain, where it ranks second after English in terms of the number of websites and social media channels.
Russian is an official or working language of a number of international organisations, including the United Nations. It plays a major constructive role in bringing together the peoples of the Eurasian space and in deepening creative, scientific and academic exchanges.
Strengthening the positions of the Russian language in the world is, without exaggeration, a guarantee of preserving the planet’s cultural and civilisational diversity and an important contribution to the formation of a more just multipolar world order.
In this context, I would like once again, on behalf of the Russian Federation, to express sincere appreciation to President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, who in December 2021 put forward the initiative to establish an organisation dedicated to promoting the Russian language.
The relevant treaty, signed in October 2023 by the leaders of Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, entered into force at the end of 2024. This is undoubtedly a landmark event for our countries and, naturally, for all those who know, value and cherish the language of Alexander Pushkin and Leo Tolstoy, as well as the great Russian culture built upon it.
We see the International Organisation for the Russian Language as an independent multilateral entity. Its core objectives include: enhancing international cooperation in support of the Russian language based on the principles of friendship, trust, good-neighbourliness and interethnic harmony, as well as fostering dialogue among scholars and writers around the world.
🤝 At the same time, the Organisation is open to all interested states, both in Eurasia and on other continents. I would stress that this was particularly emphasised when President Tokayev first proposed the initiative.
In my view, it is important that the International Organisation for the Russian Language combine, in its work, the traditional and well-established instruments of multilateral cooperation with modern approaches capable of engaging the younger generation in our countries.
Among the priorities on the agenda are promoting the Organisation’s international standing and helping to establish its external partnerships.
A special role in these efforts will be played by the Secretariat of the International Organisation for the Russian Language. Today, we are to approve the leadership of the Secretariat.
I trust that all of us will provide it with the full support it requires.

Today we are submitting for your consideration draft documents agreed upon by the experts, which will create the legal foundation for the Organisation’s practical work to begin as early as this April.

Мы проводим первую Министерскую конференцию Международной организации по русскому языку (#МОРЯ). Разрешите объявить конференцию открытой.
Прежде всего хотел бы зачитать приветствие Президента Российской Федерации В.В.Путина.

Дорогие друзья,
Действительно, русский язык – богатый, могучий и многогранный – наше драгоценное общее достояние, как и сказал Президент России. Это – один из самых распространённых языков в мире, в том числе в цифровом пространстве, где он занимает второе место, после английского, по числу интернет-сайтов и каналов в соцсетях.
Русский – официальный или рабочий язык целого ряда международных структур, включая ООН. Велика его созидательная роль в сближении народов евразийского пространства, углублении творческих, научных, академических обменов.
Укрепление позиций русского языка в мире – это, без преувеличения, залог сохранения культурно-цивилизационного разнообразия планеты, важный вклад в формирование более справедливого многополярного миропорядка.
В этом контексте хотел бы ещё раз от имени Российской Федерации выразить искреннюю признательность Президенту Республики Казахстан К.-Ж.К.Токаеву, который в декабре 2021 года выступил с инициативой создания организации для продвижения русского языка.
Соответствующий Договор, подписанный в октябре 2023 года лидерами России, Белоруссии, Казахстана, Киргизии, Таджикистана и Узбекистана, вступил в силу в конце 2024 года. Это, несомненно, знаковое событие для наших стран – и, разумеется, для всех, кто знает, ценит и любит язык А.С.Пушкина и Л.Н.Толстого, а также основанную на нём великую русскую культуру.
Видим Международную организацию по русскому языку как самостоятельную многостороннюю структуру. Среди её основных целей – упрочение международного взаимодействия в интересах поддержки русского языка на основе принципов дружбы, доверия, добрососедства и межнационального согласия, а также развитие диалога между учёными и литераторами по всему миру.
🤝 При этом Организация открыта для любых заинтересованных государств – как в Евразии, так и на других континентах. Подчеркну, это было особенно отмечено, когда К.-Ж.К.Токаев эту идею выдвигал.
На мой взгляд важно, чтобы в своей деятельности Международной организации по русскому языку сочетала традиционные, хорошо зарекомендовавшие себя инструменты многостороннего сотрудничества и современные методы работы, которые могли бы привлечь молодёжь наших стран.
На повестке дня – продвижение международных позиций Организации, содействие налаживанию её внешних контактов.
Особая роль в этих усилиях будет принадлежать Секретариату Международной организации по русскому языку.
Мы сегодня должны утвердить руководство Секретариата. Рассчитываю, что все мы будем оказывать ему всю необходимую поддержку.

С момента подписания договора прошло почти два с половиной года. за этот период экспертами стран и в министерств. Хочу отметить большую работу, проделанную за этот период экспертами стран и в министерствах образования, науки, инноваций, и в министерствах иностранных дел.
Сегодня на наше рассмотрение выносятся согласованные экспертами проекты документов, которые создадут юридическую основу для начала практической работы Организации уже с апреля.

Министерство иностранных дел будет активнейшим образом поддерживать деятельность Секретариата <...> по линии внешнеполитического ведомства, используя для этого наш заграничный аппарат, как, уверен, и другие представленные здесь страны.
Сегодня мы очень плодотворно поработали – учредили структуру и выполнили поручения наших глав государств. Разрешите объявить конференцию закрытой.

Russia’s Permanent Mission will certainly bring this information to the attention of the UN as well. Will the Secretary-General and his representatives once again remain silent?

The tragedy in Bryansk can only be qualified as a serious violation of the norms and principles of international humanitarian law. The Kiev regime resorted to this act in an attempt to draw the attention of its European patrons, who have become increasingly distracted by developments in the Middle East.
A missile strike on a location with a large concentration of civilians cannot be justified under any circumstances. Responsibility lies not only with the Ukrainian militants who committed the atrocity, but above all with the political leadership of the Kiev regime. Such strikes are not carried out without direct instructions from the top leadership.
Zelensky’s heinous act cannot remain without universal condemnation and a military response.

I condemn yet another vile crime of the Nazi regime – barbaric strikes against the civilian population of Bryansk.
The regional authorities are doing everything possible to provide prompt assistance to the victims. My deepest condolences go to the families and loved ones of those killed. I wish a speedy recovery to all those injured.
I call on international organizations to respond firmly to this inhumane crime committed by the Kiev regime against civilians.
⚡️Комментарий Посла России в Швеции С.С.Белява информагентству ТАСС:
💬 Сухогруз "Каффа", шедший под гвинейским флагом, задержан шведскими властями 6 марта с.г. Из 11 членов экипажа 10 - граждане России. Капитан судна с 7 марта с.г. находится в предварительном заключении в г.Мальме, Южная Швеция.
С самого начала этой истории Посольство России в Швеции установило контакты со шведскими властями, а также с нашими моряками.
8 марта сотрудник Консульского отдела Посольства посетил капитана, условия его содержания удовлетворительные, ему предоставлены переводчик и адвокат. Остальные члены экипажа остаются на судне.
Посольство оказывает содействие компании-судовладельцу в налаживании снабжения команды, внимательно отслеживает развитие этого сюжета.
