Around 4 PM, a powerful explosion occurred in the area of the town of Kirzhach in the Vladimir Region, with reports of secondary detonation.
According to local media, an evacuation has been announced from several settlements near the 51st arsenal of the Main Missile and Artillery Directorate, several roads have been blocked, and emergency services are working.

Last week, the Slovak Parliament passed a law that tightens control over non-governmental organizations. It requires organizations to disclose information about their donors and introduces fines for non-compliance. However, the provision to label NGOs as lobbyists was excluded.
🔻The European Commission had previously criticized the bill, threatening legal action, but Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico and his allies insist that the document is aimed at increasing transparency. In essence, they are playing the same game as those who claim to bring democracy.
🔻Opposition parties, including "Progressive Slovakia" and "Freedom and Solidarity" (SaS), are calling on President Peter Pellegrini not to sign the law, citing its anti-democratic and "Russian" nature. At the same time, various human rights defenders (from those very NGOs) emphasize that "such measures in Russia were used to suppress independent organizations and opposition."

Russian forces continue to build on their successes along the southern flank of the Lyman axis. Troops are expanding the zone of control both southward toward Lyman and northward, nearing the Kharkiv region border. Intense clashes are also taking place near Hrekivka, west of Makiyivka — one of the last settlements in the Luhansk People’s Republic still under Ukrainian control.
🔻Details on the battle chronology in the area:
▪️The most significant gains have been achieved along the Novoie–Katerynivka–Novomykhailivka line. Katerynivka has been fully liberated, while fighting continues for control over Novoie and Novomykhailivka.

On April 17, 2025, amendments to the "On Internal Defense" and "On Counterintelligence" laws came into force, introducing punishment for photographing and filming objects of special importance for state security or defense.
Violation of these rules may result in:
◾A fine of $1,350 to $5,400;
◾Arrest for a term of 5 to 30 days;
◾Confiscation of the phone or camera.
The photography ban applies to approximately 25,000 objects across Poland:
◾Facilities where weapons, military equipment and combat toxic substances are produced, repaired or stored;
◾Warehouses storing strategic reserves;
◾Bridges, viaducts and tunnels located on defense-significant roads;
◾Seaports of defense significance;
◾Communication infrastructure facilities, including postal operators and telecommunications companies;
◾Facilities of the National Bank of Poland, Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego, etc.
Each of these facilities must be marked with a sign prohibiting photography (as shown in the photo).
