This is to inform you that attendance percentages (Absences) shall not be taken into consideration for the Second Semester of the Current Academic Year 2020-2021 due to Quarantine Measures that still is in effect over the country during the course of the Second Semester, academic Year 2020-2021, based on the Decision of the Student Attendance Rectification Committee (Protocol №1/04, Date: April 28, 2021).
Students are advised to take pre-cautionary acts to protect themselves from any harm, and not to allow the virus affect you to your disadvantage.

✔️ 22-23 апреля 2021 года в Сингапурском институте развития менеджмента в Ташкенте состоялась научно-практическая конференция «Молодежное предпринимательство как фактор развития экономики страны».
✂️ В рамках данной конференции состоялось открытие инкубационного центра при поддержке IT Park, а также подписание соглашения о сотрудничестве IT Park с Сингапурским институтом развития менеджмента в Ташкенте.

Please be informed that the Institute will be switching to a Hybrid Teaching & Learning Mode effective from April 12, 2021 for Tutorial Classes Only.
1. To ensure safe social distance inside the classroom, there will be slots (places) available for 15 students on Off-Line Tutorial Classes and the rest can attend classes simultaneously in On-Line Mode.
2. Students who would like to attend Off-Line Mode classes must register through the I-NET System starting from April 8 (3:00 PM) until April 10 (11:59 PM).
3. Students who fail to register within the prescribed dates will be automatically transferred to the On-Line Tutorial Mode until the end of this semester.
4. Please note that attendance will be strictly tracked in both On-Line and Off-Line Mode.
5. In cases when students, for objective reasons, switched back to On-Line Mode, one-day prior notification must be provided through the Student Services Unit Coordinator.
6. Once a student registered Off-Line, and for some reason after switched to On-line, the student cannot re-register to Off-Line mode until the end of current semester.
7. In cases of new COVID-19 infections, the whole group will transfer automatically to On-Line Mode until the end of the semester.

Tourism Video Contest 🎥
MDIST Tourism Innovation & Co-learning Center and School of Language & Communication in cooperation with Jizzakh regional department of the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Tourism Development announce the start of a video contest for MDIS Tashkent Students.
Submit a 2-3-minute video on “5 reasons to visit Jizzakh region” individually or as a team up to three members.
How to Enter:🎞
Entrants must submit a video (the “Entry”) to Ms. Tatyana (tsokhrannaya@mdis.uz), Head of School of Language and Communication or Ms. Shakhnozakhon (room 219), Tourism Innovation & Co-learning Center, along with a short descriptive text of maximum of 1000 characters in English. The video and the descriptive text must be relevant to the thematic area.
Task description:
- Find five reasons to visit the Jizzakh region;
- Provide general information on each of the reasons;
- If it is a place, where is it located? How to get there? /if it is food, how to cook it?
- Why do you think your ideas qualify as the Top 5 reasons?
- What kind of activities can be done there?
- Interesting facts about the place/food and historical background (if applicable);
- Useful tips related to visiting the destination.
General Requirements:📽
1. Provide the video with the manuscript;
2. The video should last a maximum of 3 minutes;
3. Required language is English;
4. The video should not contain any speech, conversation, or voiceover. Only text is allowed to describe the place/food briefly;
5. Sound effects and music are allowed, as long as the participant has the right to use and disseminate them;
6. Participants should post their creative videos on “5 reasons to visit Jizzakh region” on their social media pages;
7. Participants should tag the place with an appropriate hashtag (i.e. #VisitUzbekistan #Jizzakhregion #TourismVideoContest2021 #MDIST).
Technical requirements:🎥
1. Videos must either be in MOV or mp4 format;
2. English text;
3. Video length (duration) - 2 to 3 minutes;
