In the past months we went over the book called "The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck". The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck is a book that challenges the conventions of self-help by inviting the reader to NOT try, say no often and embrace negative thinking.
After we read this book we learned so many and shared many things. As a summary we put this ideas:
the key to living a good life is not giving a f*ck about more things, but rather, giving a f*ck only about the things that align with your personal values. And Pain is part of the process. It is important to feel it. Because if you just chase after highs to cover up the pain, if you continue to indulge in entitlement and delusional positive thinking, if you continue to over indulge in various substances or activities, then you will never generate the requisite motivation to actually change.
