They typically use an OTC desk or a trusted middleman to manage the deal. We use a similar system for $SECOND trading, only our “middleman” is a smart contract, handled by a LaborX gig.

🕵️ ZachXBT's latest investigation reveals that Coinbase users have been facing sudden account locks and falling victim to scammers, losing (!) millions. The scheme is simple: the scammer calls from a fake number, claiming unauthorized login attempts.

Victims are then phished via email or redirected to fake sites through ads in Telegram groups.

While victims share some responsibility, Coinbase's security flaws surely need closer attention from the exchange's management.

It’s been a controversial asset, because it centralizes custody, which is completely against the ethos of Bitcoin. The advantage is that it means BTC can be used as collateral for dApps on Ethereum.

For now, we’ll use it as a reminder that holding crypto on-chain is the best option. Not your keys, not your coins.
