here's the bottom line. preventing people from posting AI-generated art on social media or harassing them is not going to stop the problem. it's not even going to make a dent, even from a cultural point of view.

now in Bay Area Furs, we have a no-AI rule specifically because actual artists advertise and promote their works there and we don't want to muddy the waters with a bunch of AI-generated art that takes attention away from them.

here in this group, we don't have artists who promote their works. so someone posting some silly little thing they created using AI isn't going to harm anyone as there are no direct victims.
