Hello everyone. We have been made aware that a reality TV producer has been making the rounds and contacting everyone who has RSVPed to the Roar event on Facebook in an attempt to have someone from our community film a segment for their show. They are currently attempting to contact community members via other means and appear to be desperate for anyone to appear on their show.

While we do not shy away from positive exposure for the community, the programs produced by the studio in question do not give us the best impression. Their output includes shows such as 90 Day Fiance, Love After Lockup, and Doomsday Preppers.

Additionally, the prompt for the production appears to have been manufactured to provoke a response from anyone appearing in the segment.

While we cannot tell anyone what they should or should not do, we are protective of our community and want to make sure everyone is aware of this and has as many facts as possible. Reality TV thrives on sensationalized content, big emotional moments, and careful editing to achieve those ends.

We encourage community members to be generally cautious when approached by the media or the press for comment or for an appearance in a segment, whether in print or for video content.

We encourage those in the community to reach out to the CapAnthro admin team or your local admin team if there are any questions or concerns regarding this, or if a member of this production studio has contacted you regarding this segment.

While we do not wish to alarm anyone, we do ask that event attendees immediately report any odd behavior, such as people attempting to perform an interview at our upcoming events.
