Also, I like the three Anker Power Banks mentioned as they are compatible with a dock.
Читать полностью…ah, that's it then. that's where the basis comes from!
Читать полностью…either way, it looks like you can always use 3.6V as the number for your Wh calculation, seems like the standard
Читать полностью…(it shows the price in *I'm guessing* AUD which is why it seems so much more expensive here but it's the exact same as the US link with the addition of a lot more transparency of information because NZ)
Читать полностью…so interestingly the NZ version of the page actually does
Читать полностью…Apparently this power bank is just barely allowed on flights
Anker Prime 27,650mAh Power Bank (250W)
unless they're somehow all individual and they don't operate serially but then you'd have 4 ports and they'd all have individual charging input and that would get really messy
Читать полностью…(again, could be wrong, but from what I know about how electrical stuff all works and just physics in general, this is how the mathematics shake out)
Читать полностью…^ although I *do* believe the number of cells doesn't affect the Wh, that the Wh ends up being a static number? (I'm not an electrician I just happen to know a bit about this stuff because it's necessary understanding for my field) so it's not 72Wh*4 but rather that it can max output FROM FULL CAPACITY at 72Wh 👀
Читать полностью…I understand now. you calculate for a single cell of the power bank if there are more than 1 cells.
Читать полностью…The bottom of both of my 20,000 mAh power banks says :
"Cell Capacity: 5000 mAh 14.4Vdc/ 72Wh"
I knew it was something like that but I'm not that deep into battery stuff lmao
Читать полностью…no, typical AA battery is 1.5V. 3.6V is nominal for a lithium ion cell
Читать полностью…🤔 isn't 3.6V what you get out of a AA battery? I think that's why 3.6V is the number that gets used across the board

Читать полностью…if you want detailed information, go to the page for the power bank itself on the anker website and click the specs button under the picture rotation at the top
Читать полностью…90% this is the minimum output, my guess is it operates at higher voltages if possible (which means you'll end up with *technically* lower amperage but it drains *faster*
Читать полностью…and just, mathematically? 72Wh/4 cells = 18Wh per cell, nice roundish number!
Читать полностью…that is to say: the Wh number is accounting for every cell, but the 5000maH and 14.4V are per EACH cell
Читать полностью…I wonder how it figures out which cell to use or if it's serial and so recharging it just fills the individual cells 🤔 hmmm
Читать полностью…(and I'm sure I could google a formula to figure out a more exact number but I'm sure it's all negligible)
