brief anecdote: one time on vacation we were watching the kids choice awards and lil romeo was doing a performance and my mom came out of the bathroom, saw that on the tv and went "you're not allowed to watch that" and of course, being like, 6 and 7 at the time, my sister and I thought she meant NICKELODEON and didn't realize she meant LIL ROMEO and when I got older and realized what she was saying I was horrified by the inherent racism 👀

I mean outside of that my parents were super weird about what they thought was ok and what they thought was not ok and my parents were somehow ok with family guy but not the simpsons XDDDDDDDDD and otherwise the things they would let me watch vs not were really inconsistent
