ok here let me break this down and make it simpler for you: what did gta 5 do that gta 4 didn't? multiple protagonists. that's it. that's the only change, other than like maybe better graphics and some different cars/weapons. did it iterate on the formula in any way? absolutely the fuck not. doesn't mean it's *bad*, but compared to something like san andreas that was *groundbreaking*, the gta series hasn't really moved forward in any conceivable fashion in 20 years
