My dad got it for me on VHS from Hollywood movies. He didn’t stay to watch it with me. I thought that shit was a delusional memory until I discovered the book as a young adult. I bought the movie and made my dad watch the snare scene cuz he didn’t believe that it could have been that violent 🤣

It is many years later and it’s still my favorite book lol
