it's called Rain Dance. inspired by games like bloodborne (souls in general tbh), hyper light drifter, hollow knight, nine sols, etc, it masquerades as an action game but is secretly a rhythm game with secret endings and interactions that reveal more of the lore through skill and mechanical understanding (like no-hitting bosses). controls intentionally a lil weird but all in service of the peak flowstate where everything feels natural, even if it's still hard.

ideally, built with speedrunning in mind as well because the alternate endings sorta lend themselves to learning more optimal ways to progress through the game that ultimately change the experience of it from an action game to that feeling of rhythm game

parrying is a core mechanic, and as you progress through the game it becomes a bit more of a bullet hell and forces you to have a higher level of precision without fundamentally increasing the complexity of the already deep combat mechanics
