It felt much more tacked on in Metroid 2 remake but it was used a lot less in Dread. Still feels tacked on but because it was required way less, wasn't as much of a hindrance

I don't mind the parrying mechanic but I hope it's not as integral to actually beating the game as the trailer might make it seem; I'm hoping they're letting you know you *can* parry pretty much anything and everything in the game (which will inevitably become a speedrun category for "parry only" and "parry every attack" lmao)
