Top Glove Bounces Back
Top Glove Corp (TOPGLOV) posted a net profit of MYR5.47 million in 1Q25 (FYE Aug’25), reversing a MYR57.71 million loss a year ago, driven by higher sales and forex gains.
Revenue surged 79.5% to MYR885.89 million. QoQ, it shifted from a MYR3.57 million loss in 4Q24 (FYE Aug’24) to a profit, aided by price hikes and robust US demand ahead of a 50% tariff on Chinese gloves.
TOPGLOV remains optimistic, citing industry recovery and trade shifts. TOPGLOV plans diversification to manage geopolitical risks.
