The FBM KLCI extended its downward trend as investors await the release of US CPI data (9:30 PM), which could influence the Fed's rate decisions. Broad market sentiment remained weak, with almost all sector indices turning red towards the midday break; only financials was spared. Within the tech space, DNeX stood out with shares hitting a four-month high on news of its joint venture with Gamuda to provide Google Cloud services. Meanwhile, trading of AXIATA shares halted in earlier today, they announced an agreement with Sinar Mas to merge their units in Indonesia.
