The Seaweed Study

Description: The study will investigate consumer acceptance of various commercial and chef-developed seaweed products.

Inclusion criteria
- Healthy male or female aged between 21 and 50 years
- Consumed seaweed products before/willing to consume seaweed products
- Westerners (participants from The USA, Canada, United Kingdom, Europe, Australia and New Zealand who have lived in Eastern Asian countries for < 2 years)
Exclusion criteria
- Have known glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) deficiency
- Have major chronic disease such as heart disease, cancer or diabetes mellitus etc.
- Are taking insulin or medication known to affect your appetite or metabolism
- Have sinus problems that affect your taste and smell
- Have any specific dietary requirements and/or restrictions that do not allow you to consume the test samples (E.g. Religious beliefs, lactose intolerance etc.)
- Have any intolerances or allergies to foods or common food ingredients e.g. nuts, soya, wheat, gluten, cereal, fruits, biscuits, dairy products, rice, vegetable, meat, seafood, sugar and sweetener, gelatin, natural food colourings or flavourings (E.g. MSG), etc
- Are a smoker
- Are pregnant (for female subjects)
- Have any known Chronic Infection or known to suffer from or have previously suffered from or is a carrier of Hepatitis B Virus (HBV), Hepatitis C Virus (HCV), Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV)

Effects of dark chocolate supplementation on performance in running-based anaerobic sprint test and other physiological measures
