Important Update for YouTube Downloads
YouTube videos currently can’t save directly to the Photos app. Instead, you’ll see a pop-up with a preview of the video, allowing you to save it manually. Let me know below if this works for you or if you’d prefer something different.

I hope you’re all doing amazing.
As some of you may know, I’m currently in my final year of studying Computer Science and working on my final year project. This has kept me quite busy lately, so I’ve been a bit off the grid.
Regarding AMD, I test it daily to ensure it runs smoothly. Unfortunately, it’s not working today, along with all my associated services, due to an issue I haven’t identified yet. Rest assured, I’m actively diagnosing the problem and will have AMD back up and running as soon as possible.

AMD Instagram download is down due to some server issue I'm facing currently. I'm working on it and will be fix very soon.

YouTube removed audio in 720p resolution upward. So if I include YouTube downloads, we can only download 360p videos with audio.
Due to this, I’ll create a standalone shortcut for downloading YouTube videos. With more features(download up to 4K resolution, normal video or playlist).
And that would require A-Shell mini for merging audio and video and scriptable, because shortcut can only run for 30s max.

Well, not really, I’ve improved a few things.
Instagram download is faster, and more stable.
YouTube and Reddit are in pipeline being worked on.(Will be available in version 6.4)
You can now download images from TikTok.

Why is AMD’s YouTube download feature down?
Here’s the issue: I extract download links directly from YouTube’s servers and send them to your phone, allowing you to download and save the video to your Photos app.
YouTube provides these download links in different resolutions, known as “streams” (ranging from 4K, 1080p, 720p, down to 144p). In the past, the 720p streams included both video and audio, but YouTube has recently removed the audio from 720p streams. Now, only the 360p streams have audio. I understand you probably wouldn’t want to download such a low-resolution video, and that’s the main reason AMD can no longer download YouTube videos in higher resolutions.
So, what’s the solution?
I’ve been exploring a few options:
1. Server-Based Merging: I could set up a robust server that fetches both the audio and video streams for 1080p, merges them on the server, and then provides a download link for the merged video. Your phone would then download the merged file. This method would work, but it requires a high-performance VPS, which is expensive to maintain.
2. On-Device Merging: Another option is to fetch the audio and video streams separately and send them to your phone. You could then use an app like a-Shell mini to merge the streams locally on your device. While this would work, it’s slow and requires downloading a large app (around 1GB) to handle the merging.
Please let me know your thoughts, if I should provide the 360p resolution,

On iOS 18, shortcuts are not displaying in share street, I don’t know the fix yet, I’ll update once I find solution. Thank you.

Instagram changed its URL format resulting in some Instagram posts failing to download.
