The Bitcoin halving took place at 00:09:27 UTC on Saturday, April 20th.

With this, we witnessed the 4th successful halving of Bitcoin, and also the completion of our fun & easy game with which we celebrated this major event in Bitcoin's exchange.

The opening price within the first minute from the mining block, block number 840,000, on the SMART VALOR exchange was $63,937.7

We are grateful for 300+ submissions. There were all kind of guesses - from six figures to gloomy expectations.

However, three people came remarkably close:

🥉 $63,757 - $181 off the price.

In the first minutes of Saturday, April 20th, at 00:09:27 UTC, block 840,000 was successfully mined by ViaBTC - a global cryptocurrency mining pool ↕️

With this, we got to witness to the 4th successful Bitcoin mining. Mining rewards have now dropped to 3.125 BTC per block, once again signaling Bitcoin's deflationary nature 📉

That's not a mistake.

There are several ETFs in the market. Grayscale has been experiencing constant outflows since the beginning.

However, other ETFs are compensating for this. Part of Grayscale's outflows spills over to the other ETFs, likely due to differences in fees and other incentives.

While Grayscale saw approximately $130 million in outflows, as per Olga's post, some other players, excluding BlackRock, which had literally $0 inflows yesterday, managed to offset this, resulting in lower total outflows.

It's important to note that there are multiple ETFs available, with BlackRock, Fidelity, and Grayscale being the most popular 👍

As per the rules, we'll reference the opening price of block 840,000, specifically the price within the first minute of the block. We'll take this data from the 1-minute chart of our exchange.

We will use BlockExplorer One to figure out the exact time the block was mined. Here's an example for block 839,935 - https://blockexplorer.one/bitcoin/mainnet/blockId/839935
