A positive thought on Chelsea!
It's a hard time being a Chelsea fan right now, we're in a process of rebuilding, the owners are learning how to run a club on the job (I think they're starting to get there) and unfortunately we are quite low down on the table, especially by Chelseas standards.
Saying that - I feel like there are loads of positives about the team and I wanted to talk about them as I dont feel like as a fan base we focus on them enough. Plus the commentators are always seemingly biased against Chelsea so if they're not going to back us - we'll have to do it ourselves!
1. I think Gallagher and Caicedo as defensive midfielders are a really strong combination. The way they martial and boss the midfield is superb and I don't know if there's a stronger two in midfield in the Premier league in my opinion.
2. Gusto is a fantastic player and a great back up for Reece James and could be a starting right back in most premier league teams by himself.
3. Mudyrk has improved so much already this season and you can now see the potential he has. He could really become a special player.
4. I think our team (barring injuries) are only probably missing a backup left back (think gusto as a lb) and a proper striker in our squad to being complete.
5. The January transfer market is opening and it has already been hinted at that we will make some signings... Maybe we will get a left back and a striker?
6. Poch is getting a style of football embedded with the players which seems like a high pressing and possession based football when we have the ball. Once it clicks and we start scoring goals and getting more confidence on the pitch I can really see it being entertaining to watch.
7. Nkuku is getting back to fitness and that really excites me.
8. The owners have crazy amounts of money and are willing to back us. I think they have made some mistakes and have made less and less in the short time they've been out owners. I think this is promising and shows that financially we will continue to compete with the best in the world - which some clubs just cannot do. Not us. We can.
9. The success Chelsea have had over the past 20 years have been unrivaled in the Premier league. To say that we've been able to experience so many good times and watch so many good players in blue - we should genuinely think of that as a privilege that many fans have not had ever. With the backing of the owners it does feel like there is a plan to get us back there and that is exciting - even if the journey is a rocky one. My Dad was a season ticket holder when we was in league 2. He's literally seen us get relegated to league 2 - and has seen us with the champions league. How many people can say that about their club?
10. We're in the semi finals of the Carabao Cup and are likely to reach a cup final this season. Come on the lads!
Feel free to post your own positive comments about the team too.

[James Pearce] Diogo Jota was at home 24hrs earlier when he got the call to link up with the squad. What an impact on his return from injury. He boasts the best shot conversion rate among #LFC’s attackers so far this season. Going to be so vital when Salah away at AFCON
