"Whirligig Wonders of the Wyrd"
I will absolutely be making prints of this one. It may be too detailed for stickers, but I'll see how a small test batch of those look.
Eventually I'll be putting these in my shop on my website, so stay tuned for that. The first run will be going to the Factory Obscura gift shop.
My first two digital illustrations have been approved for the Factory Obscura gift shop! 🥳🥳🥳

Some pictures and videos of the installation. There were some technical difficulties with hanging the dioramas I made, so they haven't been installed yet, but they will be.

I'm generally a PC/Android person, but I'm not against something Apple if it's the right choice.
Turning to 3D mixed media was one way to try to execute a vision I've never felt like I could capture in 2D. I don't really know how to draw, in a classical sense. I couldn't do any anatomy or anything. But I can totally doodle. I've done it all my life, and I'm coming to respect it more as an art form.
I haven't had the slightest itch to do anything 2D since I started mixed media. I have some old prints and stickers in the Factory Obscura gift shop, and they've been selling pretty well, and I thought I might use that inspiration to do some new 2D art that I could put in the gift shop.
This has always been one of my favorite styles of art I've done. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense, but it also kind of looks like there's a world and a story there. Absurd. And colorful.
I was very proud of the eye stems I made for Penelope, and had to wear them before I attached them to her.

I also created three little dioramas. In the installation itself, they've had flower petals added to the outside of them. Each of them has a little snail I made inside of it.
Out of curiosity, do these doodles feel like they come from the same artist as the rest of my stuff?
Читать полностью…I'm super impressed with Procreate so far. Obviously I'm really only doing simple linework and coloring, but I have tapped around in the app to see some of the other features. It's really robust. And it was only $12.99. So cheap. Adobe could take a lesson.

Читать полностью…I completed my first Procreate illustration. It's not as detailed as this style usually is, but this software has a learning curve. Still, I'm rather pleased with it, and I look forward to becoming really adept with it.
This colorful doodle is called "Bee Loved". I may turn it into stickers.

I'm a real artist, y'all. I get paid to do this. I'm a professional. It's the coolest fucking thing. 2018 me wouldn't even be able to believe it.
Читать полностью…I've been doodling. I haven't done anything 2D for a couple of years, and haven't done this style in at least 4. I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to open up the flow for this style again, but it came back to me.
I'm thinking about making some stickers and prints. I'm going to play with this style some more I think. It's perfect for TV time in the evenings.
I'll be sure to share pics when it's finished.
This has been months of work, and tops the list of the coolest art things I've ever done.
I will get pictures of the installation itself in the near future. It was very busy tonight and difficult to get pictures without a bunch of people in the way.
I got to go to the private preview of Time Slip this evening, and it opens to the public tomorrow. I didn't take any pictures this time (I will be back), but I can now share with you pictures of the things I worked on.
Firstly, I embellished this yellow conversation couch with all kinds of felt flowers and other doodads:
