As a.b = |a| .|b| cos(theta)
So...
(a-b)^2 = |a|^2 + |b|^2 - 2|a|.|b| cos(theta)
As a nd b are unit vectors...
|a|= |b|= 1...
Acc to Q
(a-b)^2/ 2= 2(1- cos (theta)) / 2
= 1-cos(theta) ans [C]
