Infra projects can be fascinating as their valuations tend to go to 40-50m ish or higher (chat went to 170m).

There is no better alpha than talking to the homies that live and breathe crypto everyday.
People on tg / discord talking in their communities, peoples going on spaces, and of course the people who show up daily on X will always trump any “official” alpha source
That said, my own research skills have definitely hit the shitter. I’m honestly disappointed on my wallet tracking skills and had a convo with a friend who has been tracking wallets of popular influencers before they even post and trading the momentum on it and how much he is making every week doing that.
There are so many other metrics a trader should use to trade a coin tbh. Onchain trading is 60% about tracking wallets. The other 40% is narrative and team.
If you trade purely on narrative, how funny a meme is, and the community, you are severely missing what it takes to make a project successful.

GM - OI on bybit perps for $NEIRO through the roof and volume gradually increasing.
You can see that $NEIRO has more volume than $MEW & $BONK which is expected.
Its normal for OI to be highest for a new asset and as this builds up either way - ie. if heavy shorts build up - MM's can short squeeze them out.
This is why projects like $POPCAT, $MEW, $BRETT, $MOG all consolidated for a few days post perps before full sending.
Know the $NEIRO MM's are planning - remmeber these guys have some of the best MM's onboard.
One major lesson I learned from $grok was that there will always need to be a team member in a CTO that needs to sacrifice a lot to take a project somewhere. They need to sacrifice time, money to pay for listings, otc deals to pay for influencers, and also need to be a leader. Every team generally needs a central decision maker.
After being a part of many cto teams, I see narrative so differently now. Narrative helps people get better deals on projects. If a narrative sucks ass and a team tries to push it, the team has a lot less leverage on bringing people onboard. If the narrative is good, people will do whatever they can to be a part of the project. They will dm the team to otc, or they will try to find people to get the deal in size at the current market price (buy or sell)
I’m more and more bearish on CTOs in downtrend markets because of survival mindset. When the tide turns or if something negative happens to the narrative or team, it just cascades down so fast as people need to survive this non bull market.
In a world where marketing is so important and new narratives surface so fast, being able to pay for long term marketing is important and if the centralized CTO team doesn’t have good “supply control” then it’s hard a narrative long term.
Unironically, CTOs become the same thing as a supply controlled team. Generally what happens is a team comes in and controls enough supply to take over the project.
Good distribution is not always a good thing. I see time and time again people say it’s good but why? When the domino falls, it just falls harder because people will go mob mentality and all jeet out at the same time.
You’ll notice CTO projects with “good distribution” will swing much more violently, especially if the narrative is not an institutional grade narrative.
I still don’t have it clearly defined what defines a narrative that strong in meme land as it is always changing but for me right now, it’s what gets the top level influencers to post organically on twitter.
